Hey Bismo!!! Awesome, glad you're here. I swear to Jebus I was going to contact you tonight through your youtube channel. I couldn't think of any other way but you're here now so, COOL. Please give Shotgun a heads up (if you haven't already) and let him know we're here. What "here" is I'm still not sure. Heh, I mean I don't know what's happening with da BBC and I don't know if this board will continue when (if?) BBC is back up. Time will tell I suppose. OK talk to ya later.

Hurricane Irene gave me the excuse to move BLUES1 to the parking garage at work for the weekend, providing an opportunity for a couple of Bluesmobile pairings photos! . . BLUES2 had to come back home with me and tough out the storm in the driveway, though: We got through fine, no power issues (unlike most all of my friends in the area!), and no damage where we were. Bis, I absolutely LOVE this shot ... Did you take the opportunity to squawk the tires a bit in the underground? I've always loved how the sound is amplified in the parking garage. ;D

Did you take the opportunity to squawk the tires a bit in the underground? I've always loved how the sound is amplified in the parking garage. Though I didn't on that particular day, I've definitely left some patches of rubber here and there in that garage (at my office) over the past few years when I've been feeling particularly... feisty. And of course the Monaco especially, with her very loud exhaust, sounds awesome when gunned in that echo chamber! May have to do a vid there some weekend, heh-heh... - Bis

Had an interesting weekend, a buddy of mine (who's been the closest thing to a personal mechanic on the Monaco as I could hope for!) suggested we hit a local cruise night car show near him, so we fired up both Bluesmobiles Saturday afternoon. We almost didn't GO to the show, we were having WAY too much fun cruising the highways in convoy and getting our pictures taken! (A taste of how it must have been during the Blumo gatherings so many of you have made it to!) At a McDonald's on the way: But we did get there, and it was a great show, about 200 cars. Here's the 3rd Place winner at the end of the night: And the 2nd Place winner: And the 1st Place winner(s) would be: Indeed, a shocking upset! But now for the Rest of the Story.... There was a little kid, maybe 4 or 5, running around the show on crutches and with leg braces on both legs all afternoon and evening. He was having a blast, and LOVED the Bluesmobiles, so apparently asked to have us submitted for a trophy. At the end of the night they actually let HIM pick the winner from the finalists, and he picked us! I actually don't think he knew anything about the Blues Brothers, I think he just liked the "police cars". Too cool! And there's no cash awards here, just a trophy, and it's a weekly event so everyone was very cool with it. Here's the kid handing me the trophy: We were hoping to get some pics of him with the cars but he was actually very shy and didn't want to go over to them. Still, an awesome experience to have connected with him that way. As always there's some additional photos, find them here if you're interested: bit.ly/qFtiYJ- Bis
