Hey folks. This thread is wide open for any suggestions or ideas on what kind of threads or categories you'd like to see. I'd like some input on perhaps a "Bluesmobile How-To" category and how many different threads we would need to cover everything. Like paint, interior dye, tires, etc. etc. Would the star and graphics need a separate thread from exterior paint, and stuff like that. Thanks for any assistance.

Hey Arthur. I tried to find us a few days ago and also saw Rusty's page. I think it might be because it takes a week or two for the link to go live in the Proboards search engine. Not sure. We've had 25 guests in the last 24 hours though so they're finding us from somewhere. I logged into the support site, which you have to do to pose a question, and when I saw "What would you be willing to pay for an answer to your question" I logged right back out. I've added us to some other search engines. One said you'll be live with us in 10 days, another said 4-6 weeks, another said you're live now but only for 3 days so pay us money and we'll keep you in. Heh, they're not getting a cent from me, none of them. Maybe when a guest decides to join us they could let us know how they found us. As for the Bluesmobile How-To's, I'll start the board and then any member can start any thread they want about any aspect of prepping a Bluesmobile. Kind of a "If you build it they will come" type thing.

Do you think the 'Monaco ride height' and 'dual snorkels' threads belong in the 'Bluesmobile How-To's?' I'll leave that up to you, Arthur, you started both threads. Guests must now register with us to make posts. There's actually a setting to make guests register just to READ the posts but that's kinda crazy. I'd rather our guests can see everything first, and then decide if they want to register to start making posts or creating threads.

Do you think the 'Monaco ride height' and 'dual snorkels' threads belong in the 'Bluesmobile How-To's?' I'll leave that up to you, Arthur, you started both threads. That's a good question, Steam. The "ride height" thread has some good info on how to check/set ride height, so I moved it. I think the 'dual snorkels' thread is best in the "info" forum. It does have that post about how to set the vacuum lines, but most of it isn't how-to. That gives me an idea. Let's say there's a long thread of general interest (like the dual snorkel) that has one post with "how-to" info (like how to route vacuum lines). It would be shame to not reference that "how-to" info. And it would be weird to have this huge thread in a "how-to" forum when most of it is not how-to. In this case, why don't we leave the thread where it is, and just add a new thread in the 'how-to' forum, called "dual snorkel: vacuum line routing", and then just post a link to the particular post in the other thread. This would probably be a good idea for the ride-height thread, too. Well, now that I've said all this, I'll put this plan into action and see how it works. your friend in trying things out, arthur

Hi Steam: What about a forum:
Differences between 74/75/76/77 c-body Monacos.
Each difference can have its own thread. This would seem to be the easiest way to update the information. For example, a thread "headliner": Originally, it would have said 74 = fabric rod contraption, 75-77 = foam backed. Then we learned that 74 could also have foam backed (Lord Vadus Brougham w/ deluxe interior).
Here are some topics:
inner fender support bar passenger inner fender headliner window crank seat belts / b-pillar trim / external retractor / front middle sleeve cutout orientation / color of rubber sleeve over bolts for belts for front middle passenger. color of glove box and associated metal bracing driver door pocket windshield wiper squirter hood roller air intake hose swirl vs. horizontal grain wood trim on dash steering wheels speedos unleaded fuel/gasoline only ticket light rear bumper radiator grille lower grille front bumper forward a-pillar trim visor label shift linkage skidplate
Maybe it would be better to call the forum:
details on 74/75/76/77 c-body monacos.
Because I want to create a thread about the different styles of rear decklids (no holes, holes for speakers, holes for speakers and rear window defogger). That's not a difference between years (well, it actually is a little), but the main thrust is different options, regardless of year.
If you create the forum, we can just start posting there and see how it grows. We can always rename it later to best suite how we're using it.
your friend in always being up for suggestions, arthur

Has anyone suggested an "Animated Bluesmobiles" section yet? That was also a fun thread. I'll see if I can find anything new, Ghostman. If so, I'll add it to da 'Bluesmobile Sightings' board. *with its own thread of course*
