We will be campaigning the Louisiana Bluemo in this years OR next years Great Race. Check Great Race website for dates and stops. This years race is from Jacksonville to Traverse City over a nine day period in late June. We were planning to use a rare 1966 4 door FBI hemi Coronet (650 HP) this year as it is ready to roll. The La. Blumo has just been tested and could make the trip as well. We have outfitted with a Yamaha sound system and a "lunch box' Honda generator hanging on the bumper. A little "trash on the dash", we just might use it. Thanks Nice board.
Of course, we would like a 74 K code if any out there.

- Well now that's very cool stuff, thanks for joining us! Here's the website for the Great Race ... - www.greatrace.com/Go Louisiana Blumo !! Just incredible that "Big Daddy" Don Garlits is the Grand Marshall for the race this year. I actually didn't know he was still alive but he sure is, 85 years old now. There were 2 posters I distinctly remember having in my room as a youngster in the 70's. And I mean before the Farrah poster But the two were of Don "The Snake" Prudhomme and "Big Daddy" Don Garlits. In hindsight they both sound like they could have been 1970's porn star names lol. But these guys drag raced and for sure I was a Don Garlits fan even up in rural Canada way back then. Amazing. I hope you get to meet him, a true legend. - www.greatrace.com/news/big-daddy-don-garlits-named-grand-marshall-of-2017-great-race.htmlDrop by when you can with any updates.

June will be here before you know it. Ironically, Mr. Gartlis has the other FBI 4 door 66 Hemi Coronet in his museum. They only made four. Ours is certainly not mint but mechanically very sound and I think he would love to see it. BUT the Great Race Director as well as the Reliable Carrier folks (sponsors)have asked that we run the Bluemo. They have never had anything like that ever and I have seen some weird stuff. Jonathan did a lot of good things to the car and it's straight with no rust. I will start a thread over in the owner section with some pictures. Hope it gets some sightings between Jax and Traverse City.

OK this thing is getting some traction. (pun) Just finished a 2 hour photo shoot in a muddy rock quarry and under a big I-10 bridge with abandoned warehouses in the background. Will be cover story in the June Lagniappe magazine. She is REAL muddy now. Poor Reliable Carrier guys!!! Jake

We made it!!! Had to nurse it along with a front end issue. Will fix it, no problem. Car was a HUGE hit and was the most photographed car, no question.
