Made a 250 mile rural loop through the Louisiana pine forest and crawfish fields stopping at junk yards. Had "rollers" three different times. STAY BY THE CAR Good Grief. I think the NOT FOR SALE sign combined with the Penguin is a little phishy to the Peaux Peaux. In the end it all worked out as we are licensed, insured etc etc. Just training and testing for the Great Race and I may have located two large size mopars. She ran GREAT!.. May have TOO much SASOL dirt on her as I go out behind every rain and we get one this weekend. Phish

Back by popular demand is the Great Race Blumo. This year we are sponsored by my racing buddy Pete Vicari with Vicari Auctions out of New Orleans. Installed a Power Systems auxiliary battery charging system for the 110 invertor battery. It will charge the battery in the trunk while we rally and not discharge the car battery while we play music. Pretty trick stuff. I think the dash has enough and the Penguin has already packed her things. LOL. Jake

Broke down in Halifax at downtown Marriott. Fuel pump failed on last day and all stores are closed because it is Canada Day. SO we miss the Grand Poopaa at the finish. Will get her going tomorrow and mosey back to Louisiana. This car was a HUGH hit and by the movie having Canadian influence lots of folks said they came out just to hear and see the car. Well it was not the fuel pump. A make-shift tank sock slid and blocked tank pickup. Cost me 3 days and 2 tows on Canada Day. Car running great and have stopped off at Lay Lake Al. Great race had a wreck/flipped Mustang with no serious injuries, a run away brake failure old station wagon on Mt Washington where a GR racer blocked with a rare 66.5 Stang and a post banquet tragic heart attack which took one of our precious racer friends. We missed the last day but enjoyed the event. Maybe next year. Jake

Back in La. 4400 on Dually and right at 3000 on Bluemo. Redesigning speaker and will ship car next year. Phish

Installed a Fusion marine sound system in the speaker so now we are 12 volts. Sound not as good as the Yamaha PAS 600 but plenty good enough for the GR crowds. Each zone is tunable which is good. We are rebuilding on a new aluminum frame as last trip it took a beating. Decided to leave the 110V system on board and used the smoke machine out of ECTO. Penguin loves it. Phish

Great work Phish! So I have a really dumb question, are you running the Fusion head unit separately from your cars interior receiver? Or did you replace the cars receiver with that?  I guess my question is keeping outside music separate from interior music.

I always thought it would be cool to rig a smoke machine up front for parades!

Not dumb ? at all. We have a functioning AM/FM 8 track stock in the car (Olivia Newton John) which is fine. Fusion marine sys PLENTY loud outside when roving or partying. We will Velcro the Fusion controller on the dash with a plethora of beer cans, cigs, condoms and etc. You won't even know its there. The amp is in the trunk hooked to the house battery as well as the smoke machine. With the engine running and the Power Stream RV battery blocker operating, the smoke works as fast as the model will do it. Motor off parked you may get 2 smoke hits as it takes a lot of power. Certified 140 MPH speaker. 3/16 aluminum frame, new wood bulkheads and red oak tape. New rivets all around and embedded Fusion marine sound system.

Here is the marine sound system and smoke machine. The invertor and smoke generator put out heat so keep stuff off of them. We have placed in each of the large wheel wells. Also installed an auxiliary electric pump at the tank to help prime fuel system after long storage spells. Do not install the Power Source battery solenoid in line with the dipstick (like we did), you may get some unwanted welding going on if they touch. Great Race Fury getting an engine transplant. We made a crude run stand out of the front frame of the rusty WISP car. Today the RV 440 (painted Ford blue by mistake) along with a pan windage tray and oil pickup swap meet was run for about 4 hours. 140 PSI compression and allowed us to clean and tune 2 Tquads. Sure makes it easy to leak check and tune without a car body in the way. And it rolls!!! Chicken salad out of whatever....

Our ignition panel was off the RV which had the goo from the back of a leaky box. All the better. Looks like crap but highly functional. Anybody want to use it, come on down with a few cold ones. Ironically it is the cop reinforced frame package and a derby guy wants to buy it. Phish
