I learned to drive on a '51 Chevy Bel-Air Sport Coupe with 350 V8, so I'll always have a soft spot for Chevy. That, and I've had bad luck with every Ford I've ever worked with.
Chrysler tends to be a good fit, as my Monaco is relatively problem-free and I feel confident in her to the point that I'd travel cross-country with only a spare tire and jack at any moment.
Though, typically, my daily driver is my DeLorean, but I've been using a 1981 Mercedes-Benz 300SD as regular transportation due to the 35 mpg fuel economy.
That said, my favorite marque will ALWAYS be pre-1977 Cadillac and, until the day my body is hauled off in one, I will ALWAYS own a Cadillac and the last car I ever ride in, living or dead, will be a pre-1977 Cadillac.

It's funny when you talk w/ people how some makes have just ruined people. It's like Many of us are destined to love and hate some cars or makes.
My Dad had a chevy van in the 70's, didnt like it much, then he got a Dodge van, liked it but it rusted out too fast, then he got a ford and probably 3 more after that w/ all the miles he put on them for work, so thats my Love for Ford's.
We also had a 70 Vista Cruiser, ran forever, and a '77 Caddy, metallic Brown, what a beautiful car, hope to see the Nephew fix it and get it back on the road some day.
I drove a '79 4 dr Ford ltd for 7 years that was a good runner, granted the carbs were funny but it always started, didnt matter how cold and always got there and back, miss that car.
It was a funny color yellow w/ the dark brown back top, not the best look for sure. After that was the '78 88 Delta, that ran for me for alomst 4 yrs.

Exactly! Everyone's experiences will be defined by the vehicles they owned or worked with. I'm not saying that ALL vehicles made by Ford are junk, but every one I've owned has been. I know a few people who haven't been able to kill their Fords, but mine fell apart if I looked at it wrong.
I try to avoid saying that "____ makes only junk" with a few exceptions; like Yugo. Otherwise, quality can vary greatly from individual vehicles.
