From what I've read, Charlie did indeed get caught. He did his time, early release. It messed him up, though. Poor Linus, he was lost without Charlie ... never could let go of that blanket. Total piss tank now, sad ...

Speaking of speakers, in that 2nd pic it looks not too shabby. And the right hand drive, is it possible that was built like that? I was just reading that right hand drive Ford cars were being built for Australia in the late 50's, built by Ford Canada! Heh, I didn't know that. Maybe that's one of those cars.
