Yeah your'e not wrong!!! Crazy money. Does anyone still have one of these for sale at planet earth price? I think Lord Vadus' Craig S608 for $150 is the best deal around. From the movie shot, I can think of only one detail that might determine if it was an S601 or S608 - the little dot on the lower right of the housing: But even with that, I just don't think we have enough detail to know for sure. I think it looks more like just a "dot" (s601) than a "dot plus dash" (s608), but I readily admit it's not definitive and it could be either. For that $311 S601, it wasn't just that there was ONE buyer at $311. There were two buyers at $310. your friend in being amazed at 8-track prices, arthur |

So I guess we can say that there were three buyers at $196.00, two buyers at $306.99, and one buyer at $311.99. The S606 sold for a reasonable $29.52 - 16 bids. - It was a little too pricy for my intent. By the time shipping became a factor, I'd have been in it for around $50.00 for one that I'd have a hard time re-selling and have little use for myself. Ah, well. So it goes. |

If anyone would like me to do a no-cost inspection of any 8-track player that they buy, I'd be glad to, if they pay for the shipping expenses. It's win-win, as I disassemble and clean the player for them and get to learn more about the individual players.
