Awesome progress! I love reading your threads. Brian Next time Jack, send a memo; I mean buy a big block car!!!! Now the 318 steering box wont take the bigger cop steering hoses. So refit the 318 pump to the cop brackets with the little bitty hoses and a bigger pulley so the new belt needs to be longer 'cause I ain't changing the box. Gee, I am too old for this conversion stuff. Just in the house venting. We get it plumbed in the next few hours, I am going to burn up some old rotted tires off the K donor. Darkest before dawn. Crown & coke. Phish

A Monaco laying down a patch of rubber is always a beautiful sight. ^ Yes Looks like a bit of a water puddle to get 'er goin' ... ? I recall a conversation back at Blues Central about using a puddle of oil or a puddle of bleach to get the good thick smoke. I've gone with oil in the past and had great results, very little effort to get the brakestand going and lots of good smoke! What I've read about the bleach for the burnouts is how hot it all gets very quickly. Melt your tires, melt the road lol. Nice pics, Phish!

What a great Narration! a true beginning to perfect story, can't wait for the end of a classic in the making. We still have not timed or put on vac advance on the 440 so I threw out a splash of water to help Boyd get her going. May work on fine tune today and get that unbelievable heavy hood back on. Happy Easter

WOW, no water needed now. Timed 15 BTC and hooked up vacuum advance!!! I bet the young police in 1974 LOVED these cars. You talk about a tire fryer! Upper oil leak handled but still have a lower pan issue to deal with tomorrow. Phish

Split dipstick housing was the oil leak. Installing PA system today so it is really done mechanically. Phish

Westlake to Hot Springs and back in one day!!! Scored a nice running steel crank 440 with a fresh 727 with ALL the front fixtures and AC compressor. This will get a bath and leak check before going in Blue-Too after we break in the Lemon 24 drivetrain. BT may be for sale as no room. Very nice Bluesmobile. 17ish after paint. ME3

Picking up metal in the AM so hope to have pics of repaired lower quarters soon. No more bondo baby. May have painted by next week. We are mixing matt clear with paint and doing a single stage so the paint wont chip etc. Will last your lifetime. All lettering will be paint base so you just rub top coat until you get the desired look you want. Get the checkbooks ready. Neaux Meaux cars Attachments:

Here ya' go BlueToo back at it. We just made new lowers even though they could have been puttied. This car is right. First car painted in Eric's new booth. Original undercoat overspray on bottom rockers would not remove to his liking so a small thin line of textured paint will be on the very bottom rocker. I keep telling him its a 10 footer. Phish
