I need some pics of a Monaco hood! A level shot from the side, one from the top if possible (focusing on details on the end closest to the windshield), and the hinge or where the hood actually bolts to the car. (I've seen pictures and I'm not sure what I'm looking at, but I don't think that's how the hood is attached. Rollers maybe.) I'm working on another 3d Monaco/Bluesmobile, this one will be 100% more accurate than my previous one. I'll post it in the animated bluesmobiles when I get a chance, but I'd like to at least finish the hood and bumpers first Thanks for the help (I hope)

This page has some pics: bluesmobiles.proboards.com/thread/198/hood-rollers?page=1The hood is attached to the car at the hood hinge. The torsion spring and rollers are used to position it and hold it in the open position. With that info, you can probably make out what is going on by looking at zoomed-out pics on the board of Monacos with the hood open.

Need some more help! What you will need: a 1974 Dodge Monaco sedan and a tape measure.
I need to know the length (back to front bumpers), the width (very front, corner to corner near the headlights), and the height (top of roof to bottom of car, but not to the ground).
(Also still looking for a picture of the hood from the side, camera level with the top of the fender, most of the focus on the end closest to the window.)

I need to know the length (back to front bumpers), the width (very front, corner to corner near the headlights), and the height (top of roof to bottom of car, but not to the ground). If you go to: Original Monaco Documentation / Brochures Docs : Brochures / Pricing / Marketing info (civilian / police / taxi) / Engineering Data Engineering Data MVMA Specs Monaco 1974 It has all types of dimensions listed on pages like this: I think some of the info in the document is incorrect: bluesmobiles.proboards.com/post/3277Although I have no reason to doubt the information on the dimensions you're looking for.

Thanks again Sig, but I don't see anything concerning the height... Still looking for this Come on, Fooly. Step 1: Look at this page: ] figure out what dimensions you want. It seems you want H101 - H111. Step 2: Verify that H101 and H111 represent what you want: Step 3: Go to the page with car and body dimensions, and pick the numbers for the body style you want (probably "41" for 4 door sedan), and model (probably M,H and not P). Here's a page describing what the M,H,P codes mean: bluesmobiles.proboards.com/thread/1566/dm-dh-dp-dk-dl

Damn it, Jim! I'm an artist, not a rocket scientist! (sorry lol) After much head scratching, I came to 3' 10". I think that sounds really short but I guess sitting down it seems a lot taller.

After much head scratching, I came to 3' 10". I think that sounds really short but I guess sitting down it seems a lot taller. Sounds good. That's what I get: X = H101 - H111 X = 54.8" - 8.5" X = 46.3" For a quick double check, could you use that side-shot of the blumo in front of the church, and then use the measuring feature on photoshop to calculate distances between two pixels, and verify that the pic has the same info as the engineering data (scaling the pic based on some known measurement like the length of the car)? That would seem to be a good way to use the engineering data for precise distances, but only when the data had been verified to be somewhat accurate.
