Well, I've had the '75 for some time now, but now I think the project is finally going to get started, so I figured I'd start my own thread. Here's a few pics of how she sits now:
Since these pictures, I've removed the hubcaps and installed the oil/temp gauge. As you can see I started removing the side trim, but didn't get too far yet. The main thing to start my enthusiasm is I just walked into some money so I can actually start purchasing things! Tomorrow I'm going to pick up a 440/727 combo that I'm going to rebuild over time, and I found a 74 Hardtop in Nebraska, I just need to get out there and pick it up with my budget of 600 dollars for gas and a rental trailer. Should be fun! After I have the 74 front clip I can piece everything together and start thinking about body work. I've obviously had plenty of questions thus far and I'm sure there will be plenty more to come, but with all of the knowledge on this site I'm sure iit will all come together. Slowly albeit but surely it will happen!

No, it was actually the one from black hills mopar that hasn't been listed in ages. I called the guy a couple years back and lost interest because it was a hardtop. A year and a half of searching for a front end and and 900 dollars seems like a steal! Plus it has a tan interior so any parts I can use is a plus. He sent me pictures but they were developed photos from a camera sent via snail mail and I don't have a scanner. The only thing I may be looking for is a passenger side turn signal lense, they're both missing but who needs a drivers side when you're building a blumo?!
Looks like you have a really nice car to start your project with! Cant wait to see more pics, best of luck on your trip. I am looking for a clean drivers fender...let me know if you want to sell your take-offs. Thanks, Tony

Well I sent the guy in Nebraska a check. I can't for the life of me figure out why people are so afraid to give out their account number and routing number. The funds would have been there instantly! To my knowledge there's nothing anyone can do with the basic information of routing and account number, it's the same stuff as on the bottom of any personal check! Another thing I don't like about mailing a check is there's no guarantee it's going to arrive safely without spending extra money just to mail it! Anyway once they call me saying the check cleared I need to arrange shipping from Alliance, NE to Claremont, CA. the direct route is around 1,200 miles. I've been bombarded over the last week with estimates to ship ranging from 650-1400 dollars. I think I'm going to talk to a broker and tell them I can give 850 and see what happens... I realized it would be cheaper to have it shipped than pay for a tow dolly, find a truck to pull it, pay for gas for a 2400 mile trip, and food and lodging. Anyone have any auto transport suggestions?

Also, I tore down the motor to a bare block and took all the essential pieces to my place in Claremont, hopefully next weekend or the weekend after I can et everything into a machine shop. Just a matter of finding a reputable, fairly priced place now...
I can't for the life of me figure out why people are so afraid to give out their account number and routing number.
I think they're afraid that someone puts money in their account*. I can give my account number if someone wants to donate.
*which could mean that the person is on welfare or something like that In Finland: everything that comes to your bank account counts as income, social worker just cuts it from monthly payments- almost every friend I've got is an unemployed alcoholic or drug addict so I've heard about this system enough lol- or they could have bad debts which the bank deduct immediatelly from their accounts.
edit. or maybe their spouses have access to their bank accounts(like mine does) and they want to keep some of their hobby money hidden from their wife(like I do) or husband. I use my mom's account.

Well, the 74 came! A little rust on the bottom rear of the passenger fender, but it's workable. Now it all comes down to finding the time to tear it all apart! Here's some pictures of the exterior:
And check out the interior:
The dash is pretty dirty, but looks like it's all there, might be able to rob some pieces:
You can't see it in the pictures, but man are the numbers on the speedo orange! I'd seen pictures but didn't think they turned THAT bright! Unfortunately it also has a foam headliner so no luck there. It has a 360 2 barrel that I have no intention of even trying to start. After I pick through it and get all the part I need I'll be parting it out here, so start thinking of anything you might need. As of now All I can think of is the front clip, the fuel door, and the rear package tray (because it's in better shape than mine)
