Sweet! That's exciting. That front seat is cool. Not Blumo correct but it looks comfy for a long road trip. I wonder if hardtop for panels are the same as sedan door panels. They look pretty close. I don't believe they are.. If I remember correctly, damian (TK) did some custom work to some door panels, for his hardtop, as they did not match. Maybe he can chime in... I believe he had sedan door panels for the rear doors of his hardtop.

Good one Arthur. It is clear that the 2 door hardtop door panels will not work. I was referring to the 4 door hard top vs 4 door sedan door panels. I bet the lowers work. Country is right, I remember a post about someone modifying the upper panels to work. They look damn close.

I don't know how to take pictures in the viewer for my computer parts manual, but from what I'm reading, they do interchange between the hard top and sedan. Maybe Arthur can help out. The image is in GRP-23 Body, page 23-24, and the text is in the folder GRP-IT INTERIOR TRIM, Pages IT-34 and IT-35 is where to find what I was looking at. The Item number is 23-92-5. The part numbers are interchangeable between the 41 and 43 sections (Sedan and hardtop respectfully)

For screen shots, I just pull up the page in adobe reader, then hit "print screen", then paste the screen into microsoft paint, and then crop and save as a .jpg In the 74 parts catalog, page IT-34 shows that the lower panels are the same for 41/43/45/46 (4-door sedan, 4-door hardtop, station wagons): But sedan uppers are unique to sedans and station wagons: your friend in swappable interiors, arthur

Good info, I know how much of a pain it can be to locate things so i figured I'd make it easy on you, haha. And I couldn't make any sense out of what all the codes on the left meant, I saw a picture and it pointed to the upper door panel, I figured they were all the same thing for different cars, not entirely different panels all together!

Wowzers. Was this Dodge parked near the sand pit or something? You certainly searched high and low for this donor car, I'm glad this is coming together for you. Another exciting build for the voyeurs.

If nobody's spoken for the lower door panels or the dashboard, I'd be interested in buying them.

Well, a small update, I got all of this done in about two hours: Now for the questions. I started working on the fender, and got almost everything taken care of. I still need to remove the hood support, and I broke two anchor nuts, but they're easily accessible and I should be able to get to them fairly easy: Lastly, for anyone who has the experience, how did you get these three screws out on the bottom of the fender?: I started messing with them but I was losing daylight and figured I'd wait to make sure there wasn't any trick. I got the biggest screwdriver I could find and couldn't get them to nudge, and then tried a ratchet with a phillips socket, but it was too small and I didn't want to risk stripping anything out. Any ideas? And does anyone know if there are any surprise bolts or fasteners I should know about that'll make me scratch my head and wonder why the hell won't this thing come off? I think I've gotten everything I can that's fairly obvious... And LV, that's a possibility. I've been toying with the idea of getting rid of the power windows on my 75, but if I decide it's too much work to swap it all out I'll definitely let you know. And you're welcome to the dash pad, I just have no idea how to remove it properly and I can only imagine it'll be a beast to ship! Are the manual window track systems the same for a hardtop and a sedan?

I asked the same thing here: www.bluesmobiles.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=gotopost&board=owners&thread=45&post=3987> ...it is attached with ginormous Phillip head screws (it appears). > What do you use to remove these, giant 6' long screwdrivers > held by a team of four men? I believe Spanks said that he had a giant bit that attached to a socket. Maybe something like this? Stahlwille 44P-1 1/4" Drive Phillips Screwdriver Socket www.toolsource.com/44p1-drive-phillips-screwdriver-socket-p-118581.html?gclid=CKSdlNXB1LMCFREx4AodD2cAkg&sourceid=googleps> Are the manual window track systems the same for a hardtop > and a sedan? I'll check and put something in the details subforum. That's some good progress you're making!

I was kind of thinking it was a daunting task, but then I saw the headlight bezels were held on by a few screws and the same with the grille, the bumper was just the 4 giant screws that attached to the "shock", everything else just came out relatively easy. I might have to stop by sears or somewhere and see if I can find one of those sockets... As always, thanks for the help Arthur!

Well, using a crazy contraption ( a #3 phillips head drive, set in 1/4", 1/4" drive socket, set in a 1/4"-3/8" drive step up, with an extension, to a ratchet), and soaking the bolts in WD-40, still no success. No matter how hard I pry they just won't budge! And I really don't want to strip anything out! Any other suggestions?!

Your setup sounds good, but try a better penetrant, like PB Blaster also try some heat on the bolt, propane or map gas torch. Keep working it, they will come out. I'm going to try and remove my bolts on Monday, we will see if my results differ.

Hi Legendary: A 1/4" drive socket is way too small for that screw. And I apologize, that link I sent was to a 1/4" drive socket. I would recommend a 1/2" socket on a 1/2" wrench. These look appropriate: from www.snaponindustrialbrands.com/DSN/wwwsnaponindustrialbrandscom/Content/PDF/SNCAT1_238.pdffrom www.snaponindustrialbrands.com/Prod-21-1-3404-183/Williams_12_Drive_Phillips_Socket_3-_Point.htmI don't know if the #2 or #3 or #4 will fit the best in those screws, but whatever does, having it on a 1/2" drive socket will make life easier. You might consider getting the whole set, and using the bit that fits the best. You can get the set here for $24: www.amazon.com/Williams-32906-3-Piece-Phillips-Screwdriver/dp/B005VMRUYGyour friend in owning up to bad 1/4" drive links, arthur

Yeah, I knew my set-up was "ghetto-rigged" but it was all I had at the time. I was using a number 3 and there was a little play so I would assume a #4 would fit pretty snug... I'll probably just have to make a run to Sears tomorrow and get some PB Blaster or anything else they may recommend there... Thanks for all the input, and I'll give an update tomorrow!
