Hello all, I've been lurking the forum for some time, hoping to maybe score a specific vehicle. My family's car from when I was just a few years old to my senior year of college was a white 1989 vic bought by my dad from an Illinois sheriff's deputy. In 2015 it finally gave out. After 396,000 miles and way too many Chicago winters, the frame snapped at a red light. Off to the junk yard it went, with more rust than metal left on most of the car. I've wanted to restore one to be almost identical to our old family car. I've seen a few cars pop up with right dash, color, even wheels, but the seats - I've never found anything with the right covering on the seats, be it a police car or civilian sedan. Our car had what I can only describe as a navy colored corduroy on the seats and black leather on the sides of all the seating. I also noticed that unlike many cars I've seen for sale, it had a one piece folding arm rest in the front bench seat. Was this some kind of after market modification? I'm not opposed to buying a car with the "wrong" interior but will I even have a chance of finding the "right" seats? Only have two photos handy. I could maybe find more in a box at the parents' house when I visit next, but digging through printed photos is a lot slower! Cheers for any pointers anyone can offer. Attachments:
