From the Metro News; A replica of the car used in classic movie The Blues Brothers has been spotted driving around a town playing feel-good music to lift spirits during lockdown. The Bluesmobile was heard playing ‘Bring Me Sunshine’ while it drove around the Oakwood neighbourhood in Buckinghamshire on Thursday. It was a Dodge Monaco Sedan, and looked just like the one in the 1980 movie. Thames Valley Police tweeted: ‘A new addition to the fleet! Additional love for the NHS tonight.’ The vehicle drove around to take part in the weekly Clap For Carers round of applause. The driver, named locally as Richard Ant Owen, appeared to be wearing the iconic black outfit of the characters in the film, as well as a fedora and sunglasses. There was a poster stuck to the back window showing support for the NHS. This is not the first time the Bluesmobile has been spotted – the vehicle was filmed last week parked up outside a care home playing ‘Stayin’ Alive’ by the Bee Gees. Clap For Carers has taken place every Thursday evening for the last few weeks to mark the hard work of NHS staff and key workers during the coronavirus crisis.
