- Lots of views for this thread, lots of pissed off folks lol. I think I'll add "RV" to the title . It's funny how often Monaco RV's show up when searching around the web, and I see these showing up on craigslist full of mold and crap but they can sometimes be free and have a 440 ! All you have to do is pull the RV out of a snake infested field in the back-40. Monaco has been building coaches since the 60's, their coaches these days are works of art, extraordinarily expensive. A 10 year old Signature can be $200,000 the new ones can be half a million dollars easy. Incredible vehicles ... - www.monacocoach.com/

Just like this one, no pics but it's in the Back-40 and it's free! - sandiego.craigslist.org/esd/zip/d/el-cajon-free-motorhome-1970s-dodge/7304500193.htmlSure it's a Dodge Monaco but more accurately it's a Monaco Coach built on a Dodge chassis. If the motor is present I think it's something like 10 times out of 10 it's a 440. The ad doesn't mention the year or motor but you'll be looking at something like this one that recently had an asking price of $800 with a running 440.

The thing is, decent 440s are still easier to come across than going through all of that.

- A free 1974 440/727 awaits in Cornville, AZ. You must remove the entire RV and that includes the bodies y'all . Apparently, per capita, so far this century Cornville has more unsolved murders than any other city on Earth. Many bodies are found in abandoned RV's along with meth paraphernalia etc. but hey ... free 440/727 ! - flagstaff.craigslist.org/zip/d/cornville-free1974-dodge-440-727/7453466029.html
