This driveline was in the rusted WI SP cruiser that we are parting out. Engine had original lean burn on it and started, went to fast idle etc. Cooling system held 15 lbs test for over an hour. Trans shifted through all gears fine. All fluids look great. It does have an intake valve pop thru carb at WOT so something is stuck or burnt. It did run better with a half quart of tranny fluid thru the carb. Great candidate for fresh up as 96k showing on odometer. Will need an oil pan as this one is beat up. Ran all day yesterday. Great compression, valve springs check to spec, no leaks etc. It has a flat cam. $1200 as is or $3k if we fix/clean/freeze plugs/paint etc. Real HP 440 with tranny. Update. New parts on the way. Cam was toast. Definitely the original HP motor and you can have a "sip of tea" out of those lifters......
