The bluesmobile didn't have the light package, but many Monacos do. I thought it would be convenient to list what we know about it.
I think I know what they all are, other than
- headlight switch callout with time delay
What is the "callout"? And what does the time delay do? Is that Govier's "headlamp buzzer"?
For the c-body, from the govier's code book:
- day/night mirror
- map/courtesy light
- dome/reading lamp
- glove box lamp
- ash receiver lamp
- cargo compartment lamp
- trunk compartment lamp(s)
- fender turn signal lites
- rear door dome light switch
- lock doors lamp
- ignition switch lamp w/ timer
- warning signal low fuel
- door ajar/lock doors lamp
- headlamp on buzzer
- headlight switch light w/ time delay
- battery condition warning LED (on '74 Fury)
There are several errors there, such as:
- the last item also was on '74 Monaco (the LED warning indicator on the ammeter, to match the LED warning indicator on the fuel gauge)
- doesn't list cigarette lighter light
The Monaco brochure seems correct:
It lists the following (I do some sorting and grouping)
- fender mounted turn signal indicators
- "low fuel" warning LED
- battery condition warning LED
- map light
- glove box light
- right ashtray light
- front seat courtesy lights
- cigarette lighter light
- trunk light
- rear door courtesy light switch
- "door ajar" warning light
- headlight switch callout with time delay
- ignition light with time delay
I put pics of most everything. I'm still too mad about BBC to repost pics of the LED lamps for now.
- fender mounted turn signal indicators
no pic
- "low fuel" warning LED
- battery condition warning LED
- map light
no pic
- glove box light
- right ashtray light
remember that factory installed rag?
Wild stuff.
- front seat courtesy lights - 2 pics
- cigarette lighter light
no pic
- trunk light
- rear door courtesy light switch. The above is the pic of 74 Marin County which did **NOT** have the switch. With A01, the switch to turn on the interior dome lamp when the rear door is opened would be installed here (rear of the b-pillar)
- "door ajar" warning light. The instrument cluster always has the "door ajar" indicator. This feature just adds the bulb, and the switch to enable it. 2nd pic shows switch installed. 3rd pic shows how a car looks with no switch.
no pic. I don't know what this is.
- headlight switch callout with time delay
- ignition light with time delay
This feature adds a housing and bulb behind the flasher unit to illuminate the key area. Without the light package, this is replaced with a black plastic plug.
