Michigan mopar mania is going on this saturday the 3rd, at milan dragway. Ill be out there with the car. Drag racing Car show Swap meet Car corral www.milandragway.com/2011mopar.htmI really wanted to take the newport out this time.. But then Ive gotta pay for gas for the truck, renting a trailer, gas for the car, yada yada yada.. lol the blumo isnt near as fun as the newport running down the dragstrip.. However it can get there under its own power, and not go through all the gas! lol Plus its bracket racing, so Ive prolly got a better chance! lol A young blumo at the show a couple years back lol www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.100396926655265.710.100000548738354&type=1#!/photo.php?fbid=100397136655244&set=a.100396926655265.710.100000548738354&type=1&theater Anyone gonna be around? -zac

So far things are looking good for me not to work this weekend; what time are you going to be there, Country? I'm thinking of getting there around when it opens at 10:00AM, then checking out you racing, the car show, and the swap meet for a few hours. I don't know how long these things typically go for. Milan Dragway 10860 Plank Rd. Milan, MI 48160 When you get your 1/4 mile info, you can have it updated on the c-body-drydock list: home.comcast.net/~sportfury440/ETList.htmupdated by posting here: www.cbodydrydock.com/forum_viewtopic.php?6.12341you'll have the fastest 74-77 c-body on the list! Set the standard! your friend in whoopin up on those pre-74 c-bodies, arthur

Sounds good arthur!
sorry about the facebook page! didnt think you would have to log in to see them.. Ill try and post a couple.
Ill be there by atleast 10am, if not earlier. The line for cars entering can get long, so wanna get in line quick. That way I can get through tech inspection quick
The show goes on till late at night. However it really depends on how far you get in the bracket racing. I went 3 rounds last year, and got knocked out by a cuda. So I left shortly after that.
They start time trials at 11am. Then they start the actual racing around 2/3pm.
Hopefully see you out there! -zac

Well everyone that didn't go to Michigan Mopar Mania, you sure missed out on a lot of fun! There were a lot of cool cars to check out, both in the car show, and also in the pits. This battery caught my eye as being bluesmobile screen accurate, at least from "the top being red colored" standpoint. I liked this radiator overflow tank. I liked a lot of things about this car. The low-profile hose from the water pump to radiator is a nice setup, similar to what I'm looking at for my car (to allow room for the air intake to the throttle body). But the big draw was the drag racing! Country was there with his friends Shiloh and Rick. Rick was driving his truck (ahead of the blumo), and Shiloh rode with Zac and attempted to keep the girl with the pink pants away from Zac until racing was finished for the day. Rick did some burnouts, but that's not Country's style. Driving around the burnout pit. You'll notice that many of these pics have Country against different cars. That's because he kept on winning! Look at that finish! This is bracket racing. I still don't understand all the rules, but Country figured out some strategies. If the guy's blowing past you, and you're not going to catch him, just slow down in the hope that he'll breakout of his bracket and you'll get an automatic win. It happened here! OH YEAH! Country made it to the finals, but this truck somehow beat him to the finish line. Aye Carumba! Well, second place is nothing to sneeze at. Nice job!, and thanks for the invite, arthur

Is there any video from the day? Hi Steam: If you go up two a few posts to Country post with two pics - they are actually each a hyperlink to a video. Its kind of a "sleeper" link. I could only tell by the fact that the resolution seems grainer than a regular pic, and then by clicking on it. I took the pics, and Shiloh took the videos. We did the best we could, but still couldn't share the awesomeness of seeing that big ol' bluesmobile rocking down the dragway. At the beginning of the day, the announcer didn't even mention Country's bluesmobile at the start of each race. But by the end of the day when Country kept winning, he was gaining significant dragway street cred, and the announcer started referring to the "cop car". I expect next race that they'll be screaming COUNTRY BUNKER from the rooftops. your friend in cool drag cars, arthur

Spent $16.45 for 2 freeking gallons though! I finally started to smell it yesterday! I think it sat on top of the 93 I put in it, now that I run the gas down its there! Cant beat the smell!! lol Back to 87 though! It deff runs a hell of a lot better with it.. not near as much hesitation!! -zac
