Blues Brothers - McHenry Drive-In - Sept. 23/24

This fall, movie-lovers across the suburbs can stroll down memory lane by watching classic American films in a classic American setting.

As part of McHenry Outdoor Theater’s Fall Throwback Series, the drive-in will feature a different film duo each weekend for six straight weeks starting tonight.

I posted this here because according to the Trib there has been a Bluesmobile attend in the past. One of our members maybe?

The car clubs aren’t the only ones adding to the outdoor ambiance. Some theatergoers take it upon themselves to create a bit of nostalgic atmosphere by dressing, as well as playing the part.

Attendees have done things like arriving in a Blues Brothers-mobile dressed as the musical duo Jake and Elwood.

Sounds like a blast. I sure miss the old drive-in days. All the city ones are closed around here, closest one is 90 klicks away. Meh, we couldn't do the things we used to do now anyway. One of the few Drive-In's left in the country.
And, only 1 of 12 left in Illinois.

I learned about the movie showing a while back.
I'll be there and I'm pretty sure that, at the recent gathering,
I convinced chitown to attend as well.
