Yeah...that is cool, Mr. Mercer! Hey, I've got a question for you guys about mounting push bars on these cars: I've got a Satina PB100 push bar just like this one: ...and I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get a mounting kit for one (for the 2003, as they don't require cutting mounting holes in the bumper), or at the least, maybe a photo of how they are mounted (under the car, and behind the grill)? I'm thinking about fabbing up some flat stock I have lying around here, but a pic of the system and/or the bracket angles would sure help... Rob

Mine came with a push bar , but was cut off before auction , the holes were in the bumper cover and the flat stock was still there . This is with the cover off and there held on by two long bolts on the impact bumper . Flat stock through the bumper cover and the lower through the large opening Made the new flat stock all the same length and holes in the same place to attach my home made bar . I copied what the car would of came with , but later they started using the pb100 Could get a go rhino one , there always popping up on craigslist , but this only cost me 40 bucks in material . Cheap enough if the " po po " want it off .

Thanks for the pics, Mr. Mercer....those will give me some guidance. I see that your upper flat stock exits through the bumper cover; It's my understanding that the 2003 model is the only CVPI version where the top, flat bar stock exits from behind the grill, under it and above the bumper cover, so there are no holes in the cover...I want to avoid having to punch holes in mine if possible (as I'm a crappy hole-puncher), so I may just fab up some support bars and bolt them to something behind the grill, on the radiator support. Then again, since I'm not going to actually use the push bars, I might just connect the bottom to the car frame (with flat bar extensions), as I'm not keen on possibly getting sued for 'helping' someone, and all I want it for is for the look...as long as it doesn't shake or rattle around, that might be the easier choice. Setina offered brackets for 03 and up Vic's for no cutting of the bumper. They still also offered the regular brackets that pass thru the bumper.

[quote ...as long as it doesn't shake or rattle around, that might be the easier choice. Rob [/quote] If you don't want it to rattle I would recommend not putting a push bar on. Both of my setinas caused the bumper reinforcement bars to loosen from the extra weight bouncing around up there and my black CV and now my blue one make a hell of a racket on these shitty New York roads

I wished I could find some photos of those '03 brackets, then I could possibly fab my own.....it looks like the (re)search continues! Rob

My advice is remove the bolts that hold the re-bar to the frame and either double nut them or load them up with thread lock.

I don't know how much you want to look into it, but I actually found a police center console for mine. I have a scanner and a CB radio I like putting in my cars and they mount into a console perfectly. I use a brand called ProCopper. It has a nice area to store things in, cup holders, and plenty of space to mount "equipment". www.ebay.com/itm/ProCopper-Console-Fire-Police-Crown-Victoria-and-other-patrol-vehicles-/110870403888?pt=BI_Security_Fire_Protection&hash=item19d0641b30Here's one that's fairly used, but comes with a cigarette lighter adapter, which is helpful because this particular model blocks the cup holder/cigarette lighter. Of course, if you don't need to mount anything any other console could work as well. Plus when you have extra antennas it tends to add even more to the look of the car...
