I needed a new daily driver, as the Cadillac Eldorado's Northstar is blowing a head gasket, so I picked up this 2003 CVPI with 74k miles. I'm the second owner, after the Broward County sheriff department. Still working on the Blumo, but one can never have too many cop cars!

These are great cars, I bought my '98 when my Eldorado was getting it's Northstar replaced and kept it long after I sold my beloved Caddy. Now I'm on CVPI number 2, a 2000 and can honestly say they are the best cars Ford ever built. You got the better version with the rack and pinion steering and better performing heads.

Thanks, 58....I was wanting a 2004 (I hear they are supposed to be the 'pinnacle' of the CVPI's), but I got a good deal on this one. Here's the pics: The Agency had it painted black at the dealership (it was a white car), so I need to wax it up, and add a few more cop accessories to it...I've got the pushbar in the truck (just needs some brackets). And, because I bought it in Orlando, I had to 'christen' it by adding the HoB sticker, as i do all my cars: And one more thing....I won this on eBay: I'm thinking about adding it to the front (it's even dated 1979, lol). Looks like my old '98, it was a Florida Trooper car, I gather when they sell them they paint them all black. I sold mine with 195,000 miles on it and found it for sale a year later on craigslist, you can't kill these things.

Sweet looking car, 58! I'm new to these babies, so I've got to knuckle-down on studying the ins and outs of the CV. Rob

Here's my 2000, I preferred black over the blue but I bought this car in August of 2012 with 65,000 miles. It was a prison grounds car and had never even been titled. It spent it's life on prison grounds and never saw police abuse. It also has cruise, carpet, cloth front and rear seats, only one antenna hole (and still has the antenna, not plugged) and a light bar hole in the roof. It even came with 5 new Goodyear RSA police tires. Sorry it's the best pic I have of it at the moment.

- Goddamn she's a beauty, Ghostman! What are your local laws regarding the spotlight? You didn't mention the spot as one of the cop accessories you're gonna put back on. Up here in Ontario we're allowed to have one spotlight. If someone buys a Vic with two they gotta remove one. Once in awhile I see a cab here with the drivers side spot, but not very often. Sweet ride, dude! Menacing looking. People been getting outta your way?

I currently drive an '05 Ex Minnesota State Patrol car and I absolutely love it. It's a nice metallic burgundy with tan interior, cloth rear seats, carpet, cruise control, heated mirrors, and (by my addition) the center console out of a Lincoln Town Car. I've driven it from Wisconsin to Texas, Colorado, and back and the only issues I've had in a year are that two of the fuel injectors needed to be replaced.
You'll be amazed at how problem-free they are.
I've owned a dozen of these cars and the 2004 was the only one that ever gave me any noteworthy trouble.

"Dependable" is what I'm after, LV...especially after the Cadillac crapped out on me! I like the console idea...you don't realize how much you miss one, until it's gone, lol! That's a sweet one too, 58...like you, blue or not, the condition is what would have sold me on it...it can always be repainted! - Goddamn she's a beauty, Ghostman! People been getting outta your way? Thanks, Steam! Yeah, they scoot over...or, slow down in front of me (the opposite effect). I'm having lots of fun with it, so far. I used to gripe during my work commute that " there's never a cop when you need one", when folks would blow by me, going over the speed limit....and now that I 'appear' to be that cop, things have calmed down a lot, lol. I'm not sure about Florida law, but yeah, I want to do dual spots on it. I'm not going the Full Monty, with lights, sirens, cages, etc., but I do want to tint the windows super dark, add the front push bar (a rear one, too), and the two spotlights; I see a lot of guys add the Mercury Marauder stuff to their CV's, but I want to keep mine in the 'cop' vein, and not luxo it out too much (although blacked-out headlights, taillights and trim does look cool). I don't know how much you want to look into it, but I actually found a police center console for mine. I have a scanner and a CB radio I like putting in my cars and they mount into a console perfectly. I use a brand called ProCopper. It has a nice area to store things in, cup holders, and plenty of space to mount "equipment". www.ebay.com/itm/ProCopper-Console-Fire-Police-Crown-Victoria-and-other-patrol-vehicles-/110870403888?pt=BI_Security_Fire_Protection&hash=item19d0641b30Here's one that's fairly used, but comes with a cigarette lighter adapter, which is helpful because this particular model blocks the cup holder/cigarette lighter. Of course, if you don't need to mount anything any other console could work as well. Plus when you have extra antennas it tends to add even more to the look of the car...

Great score Rob! Looks nice!! When do I get a ride?? lol Anytime you want one, my brother! I'm hoping to cruise over your way and drop you some dime for that Blumo fender here, real soon (I swear I haven't forgot about it, bro)...both my sons moved out recently, so I'm going to be able to free up some extra fun-money to make it good to you...plus, I wanna see your car "in the flesh"! Legendary...that's a nice console, and I see you can get a drop-in armrest insert for it, too...here's one I was looking at: www.ebay.com/itm/321340233330?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649Rob

Come on by Rob! I'd love to check out the new ride. Been thinking of getting one myself. Their all over the local craigslist for cheap. But the guys that are selling em have usually f-ed em all up to the point of no return...

If your ever interested, Zac, here's where I bought mine: stores.ebay.com/carmartonline1He's in Orlando, but seems like a good guy....he's got excellent feedback, and if you dicker with him, he'll work with you on the price. And this guy has got some nice ones, too: www.constablecopcars.com/He's a little harder to catch, but he's got a good rep, too....both of these guys specialize in selling the CVPI. Rob
