I remember this car, it was a good buy in it's original listing but the new price is not at all unrealistic, especially now that it's on the East Coast. I'd be skeptical about buying a car without seeing it in person but now that the car is within easy driving distance if I wasn't involved in other projects I would go look at it and possibly purchase it. CA cars in the Northeast are more desirable than they are in CA and now that it runs and drives I think someone would get a good deal. It would have cost $1500-$2000 to get it shipped on top of the $1000 it sold for, figure $1000 in repairs and you're right at his price.

This car kills me, if it was a 440 I would buy it and sell my '75, I just am not a huge fan of 383's in heavy cars. I may still go look at it and if it seems "too good to be true" I'll come up with some money somehow, it'd be a cool spring thru fall beater for next year

- They added a spotlight to the roof! I spoke with the owner tonight, the spotlight was originally there he just put it back on, here's another '71 with the same set up.

Well I talk myself into going to look at this car so I'll fill everyone in on what it looks like after this weekend. This guy has several old police cars, including a '69 440 Monaco, (I'm jealous) and knows Tom (74furypursuit) and my friend Bill so maybe it's as good as he says, those guys are both straight shooters so hopefully this guy is too. If I was to get this one it would as I said before, be left as is other than some mechanical repairs and would take some of the pressure off of me finishing the '75 Mendocino Co. Gran Fury, I want that car to be right and don't want to rush it just so I can get it on the road. Adam

OK, looked at this car on Friday, nice car but after thinking about it and pricing what it needs I'm not going to buy it. I forgot to bring my camera so I don't have any pics but I can fill in anyone who might be interested. It does run and drive) excellent, needs FULL interior but the dash pad in nice, has rust issues in the roof and around the windshield and rear glass (nothing too severe but still there). I figured out what it would roughly cost to buy and fix the interior and the mechanical repairs it needs (just a motor mount, muffler, windshield, and power steering box rebuild or replace) and I'd spend what I need to finish my '75 and then some and my '75 is in better shape and a 440.

Not a bad deal after seeing the car, I hope he sells it to keep my temptation from making an offer.
