'74 to '76 works for clones. Ford made a bunch of factory Striped Tomato's in 1976. I've read they made 1000 (or 1001) and less than 100 are known to exist.

Here's one claiming to be used during Season 3 which would have aired September 1977 to May 1978 ...

1974 Torino with 34,000 original miles was used by Aaron Spelling Productions in Hollywood during season three of the original television series. It comes with full documentation and pictures, some of which are posted in the photos section.The car is arrow straight and drives great. This car has been completely restored and needs nothing. 65,000 miles, 351W. Car is "from a huge museum collection" There's no mention of it being one of the 1,000 Ford built in 1976 (plus 100 for Canada). All built in Chicago so the VIN must start with 6G30 which this one does. Here's some good info on how to identify one of the 1976 factory Striped Tomato's ...

Here's one of the 1,100 Ford made in 1976. The number of S&H Torino's they produced varies but I think 1,000 for the States and 100 for Canada is the acceptable number. It also seems agreed upon that there are less than 100 of these Ford built 1976's left. Less than 60 remain according to the text in the ad.

Signed by both original actors during moive premier in NY. Car runs prefect , in top shape, installed new engine 8 years ago (351)... less then 200 miles on it. I have all paper work from Ford....a few rust spots , orginal paint in very good shape plus extra parts. Car runs great..red light incl.. Has been driven by both actors from Starsky and Hutch show.

Here's one of the factory produced cars from 1976 looking for a starting bid of $13,500

Please note as per former Ford Employee in the paint department ... There was NO black stripe on the factory painted cars

As mentioned earlier these cars were all built in Chicago and the VIN must start with 6G30. And also for definite proof the factory Starsky's were a special code "PS 122" which was on a tag and the build sheet. Both of which this car has ...







There's even a walk around vid of it idling. It's driving around the yard for the first two minutes of the vid but they put music over that part for some reason.

Car has a total of 126,000 miles on it , and the original 351 " W" engine has approximately one thousand miles on a Complete High Performance, upgraded overhaul... by local Machinist Wizard , And it show's it ! The engine is tight and stronger than stock, with swirl polished valves and other hi-Po upgrades .The engine and components are clean and virtually dry of oil leaks etc . Transmission and drive train are solid ...this car cruises at 75 - 80 effortlessly all day long ! A very straight, solid example of one of the few unrestored , unmolested original Starsky and Hutch cars left . The interior is nice ,with an uncracked original dash pad . All the interior will need is a good cleaning , and a seat cover and maybe carpet .The A.C. felt like it was blowing cold , but may need a charge . Cruise control , wipers , lights , heater, hood and trunk light etc all work as they should.

Here's a '75 in Oklahoma, auction winding down ...

There is some minor pitting on the door handles, around the tail lights and the side mirrors. As well as some minor rust above the drivers door, the passenger grip rail and to the left of the trunk. We purchased this vehicle at a classic car auction. We are unsure of the history on it, but it runs and drives great! It has been painted to be a Starsky and Hutch Clone. The front seats (which were usually a bench) are now buckets.
