Hi guys I'm looking for a package shelf...Has anyone sent one out for duplication or does anyone have one that could be sent. I know REM makes a lot of stuff for Laysons & the others. Thanks..... www.remautoinc.com/That's cool; I wasn't aware of REM before. > PACKAGE TRAYS - Electronically cut from fiberboard or wood, these > vinyl or mesh shelves are located directly behind the rear seat. > These are available in many of the factory original colors. www.remautoinc.com/products.phpI have my original Marin County package tray I could send in: I believe there's enough there that they can generate a pattern from it. It's delicate; I think the way to ship it would be to construct a frame of 2x4s around it and cover the framework with cardboard to turn it into a shipping "box". Otherwise it wouldn't survive intact. If you're interested, let me know and I'll try to figure out what it would cost in wood supplies in shipping. But with the cost of that, and having REM fabricate a new tray from scratch, I'd at least consider the option of just keeping an eye open for a usable package tray from a parts car. I bought Nathan's when he was parting out his 76, but it got "lost" when shipped FedEx Ground. We suspect that it actually got damaged, and someone just threw it in the FedEx box crusher. And then I ended up using the tray from my 76 parts car. But the point is that good usable trays are out there. One source I've had good luck with is "wecrash". I look for when they're crushing a car with the parts I need, and then have them send the parts before they strip it down and throw them away. I have no idea how much REM would charge to make one, but I got sticker shock when I checked with Just Dashes on recovering the stock monaco dash: > We can restore the pad the cost of the restoration is $850.00 to $1000.00 your friend in quality parts cheap, arthur

Thanks. Arthur give them a ring...they will work out a deal so you can get one gratius or almost.... they should be able to leave the rear window defogger slit uncut too. The speaker grill part isn't a problem thet just need the general shape. I've spoke with then some time ago...I can call....they hooked me up some other stuff.... The problem is they send most of the stuff out to dealers, but then again most dealers don't deal in formal body stuff. I'll try & call tomorrow I got the VP's names somewhere.

Hi Ford:
To be clear, I have a great package tray I plan to use:
I got it from my 76 parts car. I cut out the defogger hole and painted it Camel.
I'm just saying that if it helps you out, I would be willing to package up my old Marin County tray and send it in so that they could make a pattern from it to make one for you. I'd want you to pay for all the packaging and shipping, but if you end up wanting to go that route, let me know.

I'm heading to a auto paint manufacturer with the interior color codes, they believe they can blend the exact color for vinyl. We will see.

The forward edge is designed to bend (curve) to shape. Its made from fiberboard. Hi Ford: I noticed that the grill pattern and locations are slightly different than the stock monaco (such as 14 columns per grid instead of the stock 18). I don't want this comment to be perceived as a negative; only that the difference might be important, and if it's important its probably better to know sooner rather than later. your friend in cool new sources of parts, arthur

Its really doesn't matter unless your doing a 100 point cars does it? I probably could go to the shop and stamp out a couple of more rows....but for the price of shipping round trip.

Its thinner and more flexible, had to trim about 1/8 inch to conform to the B-pillars shape.
