This suggests to me that although it may have been a NYSP vehicle, it wasn't necessarily in this color or had these markings. Perhaps it was a plain wrapper car.
"All original sirens" suggests (to me) that although the sirens may be "original", they likely weren't original to this car.
I'd also say keep the word "clone" in the title.

Thanks for the input, dudes. I'll leave "clone" in the title. I figure if it was an actual squad he would have mentioned that, or even stressed it, from the very start. I suppose now we should mark it as sold ... I assume that means sold?

Just going through some of the older posts, I see this ad is still up. VIN is PM41C9R24921, which is a digit short. The "C" is for a '68-'69 "slant-6 special order" which is obviously not the motor in there now. I know nothing about the special order slant 6. I see at Allpar there was also an E code special order slant 6 available '70-'80. Was the special order known as the "Super 6"? Anyway I've just spent far too much time with this post, lol. www.superiorautowholesalers.net/1969_Plymouth_Fury_148365468.vehPrice is still $8,995 - * Marked as sold

The Long Island Craigslist car has the correct paint scheme for NYSP but it should have a black interior not a green one and the firewall shouldn't be green either. I'm no expert but as far as I know NYSP cars had 440s not 383s but maybe if the car was ordered for a more urban area I guess they may have ordered a smaller engine. The NYSP also used Fury I's not III's. Both cars also have '75 and up hubcaps. My friend Dave has a K code 383 4BBL '70 Fury I in his yard from Long Island but it was an unmarked and we have no idea of what department owned it. The best way to know would be see if it's a K code vin, if the build sheet is there or some kind of documentation, ect. My opinion is CLONE. Adam

I've heard that some mopars which had the 318 as base engine, had also the six as no cost/special order option.

Yes they had a slant six, 318, 383 2 or 4 BBL, the 440 in both stock and HP configurations available but I think the NYSP went for 440s in their marked cars (there was a '70 Fury for sale I was looking at that was an ex NYSP car and surprisingly it was a PK41T vin, not a U.)
