Hi all:
BM4YOU asked me how to attach pics to a post, so I thought I'd writeup what I know.
With this board, there is a maximum limit of one attachment per post (which means one pic per post maximum). But there is the ability to include links to pics stored elsewhere (such as on photobucket). I'll go over each method.
option 1: attach one pic and store the pic on the board. Select the "browse" button by the "Attachment:" line and then add the pic.
This seems to work pretty well, but if you press "preview" the attachment gets lost and you have to manually add it back.
option 2: store your pics elsewhere, and then reference them in the post.
Press the icon shown in the above pic, and the post will display
[ i m g ] [ / i m g ]
(without the spaces)
In between
[ i m g]
and
[ / i m g]
insert the URL web location of your pic.
I'll use photobucket as an example, as that's what I use. With photobucket you store your pics in an "album", and when viewing the album, there is a field for "direct link". If you select (left mouse) in that field, the URL of the pic is automatically copied into your copy-paste buffer, so you can come back to the board, position the cursor between [ i m g ] and [ / i m g ] and then control-v (or paste) to paste the URL there.
With this option 2 method, you can preview as many times as you like and the references are not lost.
Personally, I think it is a little crazy that boards desire people to store their content off-line, because years later when the person moves folders or has no more interest in bluesmobiles and deletes their folders, all the pics are gone. But it seems that this is a standard way that boards work.
your friend in posting pics,
