What an AWESOME video !! Lots of great stats and info, too. I'd love to spend some time on that skid pad driftin' and slidin'. I wonder if they have any of those '69 Polara's still hanging around? They do not.

Here is a picture of my car in the wild. Sweeet! Welcome, forzav12! I see red-ring dog-dish hubcaps. Do you know how they decided what cars got them? We have this monaco-police thread on them: bluesmobiles.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=police&action=display&thread=500It seems that on Monacos (and Polaras?) that they only came on cop cars. But that thread shows that they were also on chargers. Maybe only HP motors? your friend in new board members, arthur

The early versions are stainless steel and more desirable(and costly). Later editions were aluminum and easier to find.

Some of that skid pad footage shows up in this 1974 vid, "POLICE PURSUIT" Pretty cool vintage stuff.

Pretty cool vintage stuff. Way cool. Thanks, Steam. It was like watching Bullitt, but with red-ring dog dish hubcaps: It's funny that the youtube description says: > ...probably directed by Sid Davis... when the director (Michael Ross) is shown at the end of the film:

70's porno music played to a cop car drifting. More fitting than some think.
