2FAB's all-black Crown Vic

I don't actually own this car anymore, but I'd like to post this little tribute. Some of you might remember seeing the car on Blues Brothers Central ...
This was my first car, an '89 Crown Vic P72 (my username "2FAB" is the start of the VIN). It was originally assigned to a federal marshal here in Western New York. I was at least its 3rd civilian owner, and bought it in 1999 for the same price Elwood paid in BB2K ($500).
From the interior, you would have never guessed it was a police package, except for the 140 speedo. But there was no mistaking it from the outside, with the narrow rocker moldings, dog-dish hubcaps, spotlight, and push bars (actually, I added the push bars). I decided early on that it looked too good in all-black to repaint it as a BB2K Blumo, but it still had the spirit, and people definitely "got it." I did eventually add the "1445" graphic to the trunklid, though.

I loved this car ... had it for just about 12 years, but everything it needed would have cost much more than another, more solid 88-91. I hope to get another and give it the full BB2K treatment.
