They seem consistent with the originals, but they are too tall and look to be too far away from the front of the car. Here is a shot of an original: Although even the original design looks flimsy, it also looks to be more "stout" than the replica and would likely be stronger. The downward angle connection, on the original, is definitely shorter and attached much lower on the uprights. Also, the section that travels under the car seems to be closer to the body, in the original photograph. * I agree. If it were mine, I'd change it to be more correct.

I definitely agree that the auction car pushbars do not seem to be accurate. Here's some reference pics of what they should look like. Your photo link didn't seem to stick, TK so here's that one ... Here's some others I believe to be accurate, or maybe I should say more accurate at least ... --- Here's a 1969 Polara. I'm not sure if this is a correct set-up or not? --- And one more. This one is a '72 I believe ... --- As for the auction, 22 bids- $7,600 - Reserve not met.
