Hi all, back in 2000-2001 I sold my old '74 Bluesmobile to a gentleman in Florida. The car was an ex-Washington state patrol car, white with a blue interior; black steering wheel; though I'd had her appropriate panels painted black. I had also hand-painted some of the graphics, with the exception of the stars on the doors which I painted with spray paint.
It was a 1974 Dodge Monaco Custom; A38 police package; 440 cop motor; 4 barrel carb.; missing the correct turn signal lens; late-seventies steel cop wheels off of a '78 Fury ex-stater. The car needed electrical work when I sold it. If you purchased this car from Washington state and had it shipped to Florida, you're probably the person whom I sold it to. The seller might also remember the sale price. I really just wanted to check up on the car and find out what happened to her. I hope she's still on the road.
Thanks for indulging me!

- When you mention Florida and Bluesmobile, and that time frame, my first guess would be Huey. That's his handle his name is George and I've sent him a message. Do you have a pic of the car you could post?

- Well it wasn't Huey. He's having trouble logging in here at the moment, heh I'm not sure why. But here's a response ... So Shark, does the name Rick Shields ring a bell? I'm not sure who the Tampa boys are at the moment. Other than that our resident historian, TK826, will hopefully see this in the next couple of days and he might actually have a pic or two of the car. If a pic of it has appeared on the internet at any time in the last 15 years then there's a good chance we can get a lead on 'er.

And I lost all that type of paper work years ago. I sure hope I can find her though!

White, 1974, ex-Washington state patrol car, converted to BluMo. I know I have at least one of those documented. Unfortunately... all of my research folders are on an external drive that my new PC does not seem to want to recognize. edit *I'm gonna' change the word "know" to "believe". I could be confusing it with the one that made it's way to Australia: bluesmobiles.proboards.com/attachment/download/118That was/is a '76 with a '74 front clip.

- I was looking at some old threads from Blues Central and this one sounds like it could be it. Posted as thinking about selling it in 2007, Ohio ... Unfortunately no pics of it in that thread. Eureka Springs is mentioned, which is where the Jim Post cop car museum was. I don't know if there's any connection there. You wanna try that e-mail address, Shark?

That looks like quite the conversion. The only body work I did to mine was to remove the trim from the side of the car. Which was really fun for a 19 year-old kid! I'll tell 'ya what though, I was damned excited to own one of my dream cars! I only wish I'd been able to have done more with it.

This might be the Monaco you are looking for, based on that guys ad, and date. This was for sale in summer 2007 on Craigslist in Ironton OH, which is just 10 minutes from me. I am in the southern most tip of the state and Ironton is just up the road. I lived in FL when this was on Craigslist and was in town at the time checking for any deals on stuff and always look for Monacos too. I never got a response to my emails on this Monaco. It does have a blue int, so maybe it is the one. Sorry I don't have anymore info. I had to dig space nine deep to find these pics. Good luck! Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

^ Very nice! Maybe with these pics now TK will go, "Oh, that one" haha because I can't think of a '74 K-code with the 440 actual ex-WSP blue interior currently being driven as a Blumo.
