Snapped a quick pic on my way into Ohare this morning for my friends around the world that don't get to see Chicago frequently. You can see 1060 West Addison at the bottom.

- Very cool, Spankenheimer So it's not the Sears Tower anymore, eh. They named it after Bruce Willis, the Willis Tower. Ha, or Gary Coleman bought it, it's the "Whatchoo taking about, Willis Tower?" Ok both lame and unoriginal but it is the Willis Tower now. I've been up there at night to their observation floor, over 20 years ago, not a great view of the Lake at night lol, but I still remember how the lights just kept going out from the City. Huge. And the next day we got a game in at Wrigley, too. What a thrill for a baseball fan. The Cubs lost but great memories!

These days I'm just stopping in to catch another plane. It's been 10 years ago but I remember being in Chicago a number of times for trade shows. Best memories were hitting the little hole in the wall blues bars for live music during the middle of the week. Awesome! Also caut a Cubs game the night after Sammy Sosa got in trouble for playing with a corked bat. Oh and we then to "the top of the cock" for drinks. Super cool bar restaurant at the top of the handcock building.

Great picture! Yeah, Chicago. Been there once in my life, and it was incredible: August 1986. We were a bunch of German students, took summer classes at Northwestern University. And saw Cab Calloway live at the Chicago Jazz Festival. Sang along with him, "Hi-Dee-Hi-Dee-Hi-Dee-Ho!". Memories...

I only have a very brief experience in Chicago. Back in 2006,right after I graduated from US Navy basic training, I took the train into the city twice. Once with my mother who came out for my graduation, and once with some friends in liberty. Unfortunately, I was extremely sick the whole time, and not of the legal drinking age. I remember it seemed like a really cool city, and I've always wanted to go back and do it right. Maybe after my Blumo is finished it would make a great road trip!
