I haven't received the mirror yet but it was $25.00, I know it'll be a long time before I find a cheap NOS one for my Fury. And yes that's my Amphicar, I've had it for about 2 years. I actually have another one that's in about the same condition as the Titanic too. And that's the world famous Hudson river that we were pulling into and tooling around in those pics.

Thats really cool Adam! You must get some crazy looks from people as you 'drive' into the water. I love the pics and the article.

What'77 Royal? Looks like a '74 to me. I can't believe how many bolts are in the nose of this car! I had some alignment issues at the door, nothing a 2x4 and a 5LB hammer couldn't fix, but man these things do not fit together well. Still have the right side to go! Oh and I love the bolt behind the track thingy for the slider that goes up from under the fender, that was fun to find.

Did you have to remove the hood to swap the fender?

Did you have to remove the hood to swap the fender? You have too. The hood brackets are bolted on with the fenders in the back corner. Also the hood torsion bar slider supports are bolted onto the fenders as well. It is a pain in the ass getting everything lined back up!

Good luck with lining everything up Adam. It sucks dont it!! After instaling my new fenders, I could never get the back corner of the hood on the passenger side to line back up properly.. It still sits too high for my liking.
I love the amphicar by the way!! Thanks for sharing! If I'm ever up your way I'd love a ride!! Haha

I didn't take my hood off,I used a pipe as a hood prop and a 2x4 as a buffer between the hood and windshield. Did both fenders that way.

Also, these fender to door gaps are never going to be right on this car, I've done all I can with them.

One at a time, to do both I would have had to take the hood off. Because both hinges would have to be unbolted so there would be nothing to stabilize it.

Today I got all of the trim holes welded up and the body work on the right side ready for primer, it's unbelievable how rough Mopar left the sail panels on these cars before installing the vinyl tops.
