Incidentally,Rick seems to be a bit out of touch with interest in movie cars.We all know what a decent BluMo can fetch on Ebay.I can only imagine what a quality BTTF De Lorean would go for.I also remember an Ecto-1 (completely awesome but non-screen accurate interior) selling for $139,000 on Ebay a few years ago. The operative word there being "quality" and that is something that videobob is NOT known for; his parts are poorly-cast, barely glued-on, the car didn't run right, and there were many easily-spotted inaccuracies; here are the biggest ones: Wrong hood. Antenna present on right front fender. Rear lettering in bumper. Seeing as people are willing to trade the hood on his car for the correct-for-the-movie one, there's no excuse. The antenna was also broken off, so it's not only wrong, but LAZY. The bumper lettering you have to ADD in order to have on the car; I'd bet that the car came with it and he was just too lazy to remove it. It fits with how much work he does to the cars he gets.

Based on Bob's reputation and the far too many episodes of Pawn Stars I've seen, they're gonna say it's really cool, how much do you want for it? He'll start somewhere around 15,000. They'll laugh in his face and tell him it's worth MAYBE 3,500. He'll say it's ridiculous and counter with 8,000-10,000. They still won't budge and they'll say Well hey, sorry we couldn't make a deal, but it's always great to see you. The End!

I'll bet the initial offer from PS is less than 3K.

Car looked pretty good to me but he wanted $25k and they wouldn't even make him an offer on it! The car looks like it has tan interior, which is a nice touch for a blumo. The pushbar, bumperettes, and "G" on the header panel are a little wacky, but overall the car looked solid from the pics.

I have met Bob - and can't say I have an opinion. He was nice enough to throw me two leads for people wanting to rent Blumos before his was built. I'm not buddies with him, but why do people hate on this guy on these boards so much and on blues brothers central? ( just asking) Btw - he won't nor will any Blumos be allowed at the Houston or Dallas House Of Blues now except mine - thank you BBAV!

I have met Bob ... but why do people hate on this guy on these boards so much and on blues brothers central? ( just asking) I got a bad videobob feeling when I read this: www.bluesbrotherscentral.com/forum/topic/9418-1974-monaco-bluesmobile-texas/#entry114060I think somewhere later there was a post on BBC with references to threads on the "replica prop forum" about him physically removing props from people's vehicles at car shows when they weren't looking. I don't recall all the details, but I did a quick search for "videobob" on RPF and found ugly things: www.therpf.com/f9/emails-ive-recived-videobob-178695/www.therpf.com/f9/resolved-127813/I only make fun of videobob because of his over-the-top advertising that he does on his vehicles. There's room for all levels of blumos in the world, and may the spirit of the blues assist everyone in producing the best blumo that they wish for the time and money they have. But videobob is opening himself up for ridicule when he offers a blumo for sale, claiming it is the best in the world, while it is an obvious poor replica.

videobob is opening himself up for ridicule when he offers a blumo for sale, claiming it is the best in the world, while it is an obvious poor replica. He does that with everything. I dislike the guy for several reasons: first is that he takes credit for other's work, then claims that EVERYTHING that "he does" is the best when its often sub-par; hence how he can buy something for cheap. Just look at the bluesmobile he's been selling that he claimed to build that we know was built by SCMODS. He used this as justification to explain that building it took so much time that he couldn't finish another project that he'd been paid for. Lastly, when I was head of the judging staff for the DeLorean show in Vegas, we had to keep a 24-hour guard to prevent him from stealing parts off of other people's cars. That's not the kind of guy I want at an arm's length and hardly what I'd call a contributor to the hobby.

Not sure if you know, the car that is featured in his YouTube video (the first one) and the one on his website - he purchased in 2010 from a close friend of mine here in Dallas. He didn't build that one at all. He may have tweaked the engine etc but that's it. Was a great car - now living somewhere in Mexico I've heard. I only asked, as I have met him, I've booked his DeLorean once but haven't experienced anything negative and I keep seeing stuff pop up here and pop up on Blues Brothers Central. If whst people are saying is true that's a pretty crappy thing to be accused of. Thank you for shedding light. Again I was only asking not pointing any fingers.

If whst people are saying is true that's a pretty crappy thing to be accused of. Thank you for shedding light. Again I was only asking not pointing any fingers. I know, and I called him out on it publicly before, too. Read about that here: dmctalk.org/showthread.php?1144-VideoBob-Where-are-our-videos-***Split-from-Auction-Kings-thread***&highlight=bluesmobileHere are the highlights (Bob's posts in italics): Bob: Sorry for the 2 frickin year delay, but in that time I have bought / remodeled a new house, got married, opened up a 5000' shop which has pushed out 8 Delorean Time Machines and one extra restoration, 1 Knight Rider, 2 Bluesmobiles, 1 Checker Marathon restoration, a '57 Chevy restoration, about 50 Ghostbuster Proton Pack shells and maybe 25 or more Flux Capacitors and who knows what all else!!! Oh yeah, we were working on getting my reality TV show together, doing car shows and conventions and so much more. I have had the busiest couple of years of my life!!!!Me: That you built two Bluesmobiles is a lie. I happen to know that both of the cars had been modified by the sellers and one you did nothing but resell. They were also horribly inaccurate and you whined when criticisms of those cars were presented to your attention, too. Bob: Chad, I did a huge restoration on that '74 Dodge Monaco including engine and transmission work, new shocks, brakes, exhaust, interior work, electrical, and a lot of touch up to the body and paint work. I put over $5,000 of work in that car. The one I have now already has a simple paint job on it, but it also being overhauled.
Every car that rolls out our doors takes on a new life and has been restored to equal to or better than new condition. Aside from the 9 "Time Machines" I have built there are several other Deloreans like the one in my shop now that have been completely restored. I just totally restored a 1957 Chevy Wagon and well as my 1980 Checker Marathon. We are totally restoring a screen used film car from Knight Rider right now.
So, I don't think you know what you are talking about.... as usual.Me: I know these cars extensively; your previous one was a blue-interior car with a 440 swap by a previous owner. You bought a car and did a little light doctoring to what was a decent car to begin with; not uncommon in car sales, but you're making it out like you did more than that; like you swapped the motor and built it up yourself. I also feel sorry for the sucker that buys your current car, as it was in this condition: www.bluesbrotherscentral.com/...edan-nebraska/Here's the details of you buying it; knowing full well where it came from: www.bluesbrotherscentral.com/...obile-indiana/And the restoration that was done, not by you, I might add: www.bluesbrotherscentral.com/...e-edition-lol/Yet you assume I know nothing about the car. It's a bondo bucket that was reassembled in a week and you're asking around 3 times what you paid for the car. You'll get no sympathy from me. I most certainly do know what I'm talking about; I'm not some sucker like who you'll have to sell that car to. Bob: readers and mods, if you were to check "Dracula's" previous posts you will see that pretty much everything he posts is some sort of "hate" speech and trolling of other people. He has a lot of threads with the word "hate" in them, IE:, "I hate....." He follows me from forum to forum of which he claims to be a fan of and trolls myself and anyone who does not build 100% perfect, episode or screeen specific replicas to his taste, although he has never actually ever built any sort of anything himself.Me: Actually, you're the one who followed me. I have an earlier date of registration by over a year than you on the Blues Brothers forums, where I am an established member of the community. You'll also note that there are detailed threads with my laborious build of the most screen-accurate Blues Brothers replica Dodge that I can create. Detailed thread here: www.bluesbrotherscentral.com/...e/page__st__20More updated one here: bluesmobiles.proboards.com/in...play&thread=56So, once again, you are the one with incorrect facts and inaccurate statements. I looked at both of the cars you bought in the process of finding mine and rejected them for various reasons. And that was where he stopped acknowledging me. Bear in mind, that the car that he had on Pawn Stars was one that was ready to be delivered to a customer and STILL didn't run right. I've never seen him "restore" anything, as his motus operandi is to make it look passable and sell it to someone who doesn't know what they're in for.

I moved the previous 6 posts from: 1974 Monaco (Ohio) bluesmobiles.proboards.com/thread/829/sold-1974-monaco-ohioto here. It's good videobob info, and although they're not "pawn stars" specific, this seemed like a fine place for it. I didn't want to stink up that other thread, and this thread title of "videobob on pawn stars" will be easier for someone to find for videobob info.
