Sorry guys, I know its not a 74-77, but its a c-body! lol. Planning on getting out of the wonderfull state of michigan in the next few weeks or so. Dont need to sell her, but just kind of a pain in the ass to relocate it. The blumo is not going anywhere! However I can let this one go to a good home.
1973 chrysler newport special ordered for the batavia downs horse racing track in new york. Was a pace car for the horse racing track.
The car is a white 2 door hardtop, with a sunroof, and vynal top. Previous owner stated it was a special order car.. But not sure how to determine that? the body is very solid. With a lil bit of rust at the rear wheels. the car had a big hydralic machine to operate the big gates that were on the rear of the car, that mahine broke a hose, and hydralic fluid went everywhere in the trunk, it ate most of the paint away, but kept anything from rusting. It didnt have a trunk lid, just a cover that snaped over the trunk, They put rivets around the trunk for the snaps on the cover to snap to. I got the rivets out, and put a lttle bit of bondo in to seal it up. Didnt want to weld in new metal, incase I ever wanted to bring it back to how it was on the track. Theres also a couple holes where the speakers, and wind guard were attached on the a pillars. But nothing that cant be fixed, or can be kept how is.
The interior only had a passenger side seat, with a stool for the driver to sit on. All of that has been taken out, and new seats were put in, along with new carpeting. But the seats could use a redo, as they dont match. It had a radio delete plate but previous owner put in a radio, along with 6x9s in the rear deck, and 5inch speakers under the dash. A grant steering wheel was put in, along with a b&m shifter. The trans has a manual valve body, but ill get to that.
The engine is the original 400 with only 24,000 miles on it, and the car. But motor has had some goodies added.
915 closed chambered heads
full msd ignition, with billet distributer
edelbroke performer rpm intake
holley 750 DP
Lunatii cam, and valve trane
Newer style (1975) radiator, with a electric fan
The trans was rebuilt, along with some goodies
turbo action manual valve body
turbo action 3000 stall convertor
hemi clutch pack
B&M shifter
Additional trans cooler mounted in front of radiator
Rear is an 8 3/4 with a 4.10 suregrip.
Ive never ran it on the track, but previous owner stated it runs 13s. I believe him, this thing moves. No prob eating up lil 5.0s lol
Car needs a paint job, and a lil interior work, but other then that shes good to go, only mechanical problem is the fuel sending unit is not working, so no gas gauge, but mopar still offers this part for $160, just havnt messed with it.
Can email, PM, or call me with any questions, To much stuff to list lol.

Ive got 5k invested in her, Id like to get atleast $3500 for it. Its a one of one car!
wheels and tires above belong to the blumo, so wont go with the car, the original wheels/hubcaps, and tires will go with her.
Heres a short vid of it running last winter. Car runs great! Id bring a trailer if you have to drive it far to get home. Not a great highway car with the 4.10 gears!
