I honestly don't know what's worse; the wheels, the condition of the roof, or the ad for a car that he wants $3,500.00 for...

I've been quoted £5600 to buy and ship this to my door here in London UK. I assume you all think I should walk away? I quite fancy a hardtop blumo as pillarless 4 doors are quite a novelty in the uk but do you think this one needs too much work?

You'd probably be better off with this car: bluesmobiles.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=cars&action=display&thread=1356It'd need less work to be a proper Bluesmobile and there appear to be several major issues with the one in this ad; notably the rust holes in the roof, to speak nothing of the potential work the interior requires.

That was 5600 UK POUNDS quoted all in. The pound sign didn't show! Does seem a bit pricey then

If you convert the 6000€ of the one in Finland to British Pounds Sterling it comes out to £5127.15 for the car. That would still leave you with £472.85 to spend on having the car transported from Finland to London. Obviously more is available for transport if you negotiate for a lower price.
The caveat being that, while I have sold a few cars internationally, I've never done the arranging myself. I've always left that to the buyer. I have no idea if it's easier to import the car from the US than the one from Finland.
I don't know if this has been of any use, but I wouldn't pay more than $2,500.00 for the car in this thread; delivered to my door. That's £1656.51 if converted.
The reason I say that is the roof rust. The car was originally equipped with a vinyl roof, which has deteriorated and been removed; exposing the rusty roof beneath it. I can see at least one hole in the metal of the roof; to say nothing of the edges around it. Some extensive body repair is going to be needed on that car.

To update on this my shipping man has been trying to contact the seller of this Blue hardtop with no reply through any means. I'd still be tempted with this as a project if it could be had cheap enough!
