Most likely someone offered more money and he sold it to them. I guarantee this is what happend. This does suck bad as the blue car was super nice car and a good deal. This is exactly why when I make a deal on a car, I get that s.o.b. in my hands ASAP. You know what they say "$ talks and b.s. walks". However if I was a seller and someone showed up and offerd me money on a car I already had a deal on with another buyer, I would at least call the original buyer and explain the situation and give them an opportunity to complete the transaction. Your original post on this was 6 months ago, lots of stuff can happen in that time frame, job loss, new jobs, divorces, deaths.... In the end, when stuff like this happens to me, I just figure it wasn't meant to be. I lost a good car on eBay in the last seconds a few months before I started my project and I was upset. I then got really frustrated with a seller in Canada over a car. In both cases had I made the deal, I would have over paid, and my finished project would be nowhere near as nice as what I will have when my car is done.

This sucks. Hate it when people break agreements. At least you got your money back without a fight.
I really don't like that kind of behaviour at all.

Really sorry to hear that Jenny. It is true that long-term payment deals can fall through, and it always ends in hard feelings. But when it happens, it is often followed by another item coming up that is the same or better than the lost item, and at a better price. Karma can affect you positively like that, and it can also bite the seller squarely in the ass.

Damn. I'm also sorry to hear this news, Jenny. At least you got your money back but we know you'd rather have the car. Hang in there. 1974 Dodge Monaco sedan ... no problem, we'll have it for you in the morning. Let's go Elwood.

Since Arthur's thread is locked I will post it here and hope he sees it!
I am very sad to hear my friend in all things Monaco, Arthur is selling his Monaco(MC1)and leaving the site. That is something I never expected to happen.
Arthur, I wish you the best in luck in all your future endeavors and in your personal life. Thank you so much for all your help, dedication and information you have made to this site and for your friendship to me. I hope to run into you again in the future or at least see you popping in here once in a while. I also hope MC1 goes to a good home where it will be appreciated for what it is.
Your friend, Jenny
