Latest mods: I was able to acquire a set of police style vertical strip door panels, to replace the original "Custom" panels. I bought these from Mr.Tony Tsitaridis, owner/builder of the 1976 ISP Fury: policecarwebsite.net/fc/copcarsite/dodge559.jpg...and I believe these were the originals from that car. After receiving them I quickly noticed an aspect of the rear panels that I had not anticipated... This is the rear passenger panel. The angled left edge butts against the B pillar. This, by contrast, is the hardtop panel: (Drivers side rear) It has an extended edge to fill the gap between the front and rear panels. Sooo... I had to fabricate these (3in) extension pieces, to compensate for the different style panels: They were made using sheet metal, wrapped in white vinyl, and then dyed tan, along with the panels. When the doors are closed they fill the open space that was covered by the original panels. Shot of front and rear panels installed... * Larger sized images in my Photobucket album. .

Ahh, nice job with the dying and extending! I like how it blends in with the lower door panels. Rocking! > I bought these from Mr.Tony Tsitaridis, owner/builder of the 1976 ISP > Fury: > policecarwebsite.net/fc/copcarsite/dodge559.jpgDoes one need to be a member of the site to see the picture? Whenever I go to that link, I get autoforwarded to policecarwebsite.net/main.htmlyour friend in sites that don't autoforward without explaining what's going on, arthur

That's weird as it seems to work for me. It was just a random photo of his car that I found on the web If you go to Google images and punch in [1976 Illinois State Police fury], you'll see it right away. edit: Here is another good shot of it... www.flickr.com/photos/39395237@N02/5434239815/.

Thanks.
Having to do this leads me to believe that the police/taxi style panels, either horizontal or vertical, just do not exist for a hardtop.
I wrote to SMS about a week ago asking if they could make police style hardtop panels, but so far no reply.

The radiator situation worked out pretty well.
It took about 5 phone calls and several days waiting, but finally a "1-800- Radiator" truck pulled up to the house, handed me a new one, and took the busted one away with them.
They were hesitant at first, but after explaining to a couple different reps that it was the mechanic who ran the fluids through it, and that it was out of my control, they were all smiles.
The biggest delay was that the damaged one that they sent to me was the last one in stock... in the whole country. A new one had to ordered from Mexico.
So, ultimately, other than a few little set-backs, everything worked out good.

Just for the heck of it... Finally finished cleaning and restoring the lightbar. Mounted it today for it's first testing. I am going to install a quick disconnect, along the wire, to allow it to unplug and be removed and/or mounted, in seconds.

I have recently discovered what I believe is a nice color for "most" of the interior pieces. It is less expensive than the other options, designed to bond to plastic, and readily available at any Home Depot. Rust-Oleum, Satin finish "Warm Caramel" I am currently changing the interior color from light tan to brown. I have used this paint on every interior piece, with the exception of the seats, upper door panels, the dash pad and the headliner. (It even worked well on the steering wheel) Because those remaining few pieces are soft vinyl (and want to be extra careful with the headliner) I am using the SEM Camel, for those.
