^I only hope that I can get it done in the next five to ten years. Just realized that cleaning the block with all sort of smelly stuff really isn't an option in my garage, because it's in an aparment building. Other problem is the small parts. I know that a regular dishwasher cleans the greasy shit, but I have to do it little by little without the wife noticing- I can't put all accessories + bolts, nuts etc there at the same time because they probably will mix up. Here's a free tip for all of you who have the 40 year old hood opening wire which can break itself without warning, like mine did. Some electric chord hanging from the opening mechanism. That locking system isn't the easiest to reach from the ground level without it.

Opened the side cover today: I don't know shit about transmissions, but I'd say that this looks quite good.

... but I'd say that this looks quite good. No kidding! I've lived in dirtier houses.

They painted the whole car; I can show you pictures from my '74 when I pulled off the original top that had bondo in the same place, if you'd like. There are some in my build thread, but if you want more, I'll look around for them.

Bondo was the word. So these are just factory seams hidden with bondo & paint. Everyone should attack their monaco's c-pilars now with magnets.

Hello again, project is still basically standing stored, but I finally have a garage where I can do stuff to it(it should even fit in). So maybe some progress next year. Still have that arthur's 440 waiting for a rebuild too.

- Hello Sd, great to hear your Monaco is still with you. I only hope that I can get it done in the next five to ten years. Five down, five to go.

I feel your pain, Sd...mine's been languishing in the nethersphere for a few years, too. The wife has other plans for my expendable income (like new cars, home improvements, all that crap), so I've had to put my shitbox on the back-burner indefinitely. I WILL finish the damn thing one day...it's one of my bucket list items. Rob
