That's some fancy digs! It's like the Chez Paul. Good lookin' blumo. Interesting "hidden" mount of the upper push bar bumper connection.

- I'm pretty sure this is the same Blumo ... The upper pushbar mounts look quite different to me: One is "hidden", and one is "standard".

Seems to be a bit of identical damage to both bumpers just under the grill.

The upper pushbar mounts look quite different to me: It looks like they had two different pushbar set-ups on this Blumo. They might have switched pushbars when they added the spotlight. The wipers seem in the exact position for the mall pic and website pics, with or without spotlight. The sale timeline, the car ('77 w/'74 clip) and destination (Texas), all match. Add in the bumper dent TI spotted and for sure this has gotta be the same car. I would bet one tall can of beer on it

I went to texasbluesmobile.com/and it even shows pics of both pushbars on this car: I wonder what they did to bend the bumper like that. The original bumper looked good: The blumo has the same relatively-rare non-adjustable driver-side outside mirror as the green car.

I'm new to this forum.....I just discovered it tonight. I am the guy who bought and restored the Monaco that was once advertised for sale in Kansas two years ago, and built in Missouri last year. It is now "officially blessed by the estate" and approved by "the powers that be" as the official car in Texas. My video is on YouTube "the Texas Bluesmobile" and so is my fan Facebook page. The car has been used by Buddy Guy, Eric Johnson, Wanda King, John Mayall, Billy Cox, Jimmie Vaughan, Wayne Toups and the list grows. Im glad to be in the family.

Yes - this is mine! I bought her from Richard in Missouri as you see in the green - the push bars weren't completed in the first set of pics and the paint job was too shiny. We dulled it down, added the push bar padding, completely changed 80 percent of the mechanical parts and gas tank - got working cold AC (which in Texas is a must) the video is my car - the pics were shot at different times and locations. We are the ONLY car in Texas out of the four I know of endorsed by the estate. The big rule from them? No speaker on the roof due to copyright infringement. So we put it all in the engine!

The side by side pic you're seeing of my bumper - it was dinged up when we got it and I love it! The nice shiny pic was taken in Houston - the car barely ran and wasn't even completed but it was shot in December 2012 - push bars were half on - post light wasn't mounted and interior was just - nasty! The nicer shot with the headlights on was shot in May this year - completed interior - push bar complete - post light correct and installed - new tires - the works!!!

We are the ONLY car in Texas out of the four I know of endorsed by the estate. The big rule from them? No speaker on the roof due to copyright infringement. So we put it all in the engine! Hi Texas! Welcome, you can see we've had some good discussion on your car, and looking forward to hearing more of its exploits! Can you elaborate on what it means to have a car "endorsed" by estate? From what I can gather, Dan and Judy Belushi own the "Blues Brothers" trademark www.bluesbrotherscentral.com/forum/topic/608-mr-belushis-estate/I see the phrase "officially sanctioned by Dan Aykroyd and the Belushi estate" applied to various shows: www.legendsinconcert.com/chris-and-geoff-dahl-blues-brothers#www.ridgefieldplayhouse.org/node/436but it's not clear to me how an endorsement applies to a car (that doesn't have a likeness of John Belushi on it, or the word "Blues Brothers" on it). And what about the speaker? Who's copyright is infringed if they endorse a car that has a speaker on it? Can you explain what you got from them that explains these rules? Do they send out this packet to anyone that asks? your friend in getting up to speed on officialness, arthur
