Here are some pics of factory police dual exhaust:
Marin County cop 74:
and scatpack's cop 74:
and MHP 74 fury:
Notice the little jiggy around the gas tank that the driver side exhaust pipe follows.

The chassis manual shows that dual exhaust was only for "(400-4BBL and 440 H.D.) Police and Fleet only And that is backed up by the parts catalogs. In 74, 75, and 76, the only Monacos with dual exhaust were 400 high performance and 440 high performance. 1974: 1975: 1976: But my 1976 Civilian car with a 400 had dual exhaust: from bluesmobiles.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=gotopost&board=details&thread=678&post=4028I wouldn't think that old man Jones would have installed dual exhaust on it when everything else was stock. And looks like it could be factory. Maybe duals were on all 400s / 440s regardless of high performance or not? Or maybe they just started putting them on all cars at some point? Or maybe it's one of those "it depended who was working the shift" situations. your friend in duals for everybody, arthur
