If it helps, here is the Google map I created, plotting out the various filming locations. It starts in North Aurora at the CEVS Show, and ends at the Blues Bar/ Mt.Prospect Cruise night. 30 locations total (I believe that includes both the starting and ending points). From what I remember (posted on BBC) it took nearly 5 hours to complete. That is without stopping, taking photos... etc. Personally, I think it would be better to drive the tour on a Sunday morning, thus my suggestion, a while back, on planning for two days. maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=211203148712296620709.000489b62ea47b257f6a2&msa=0&ll=41.746726,-87.93457&spn=1.543023,1.211243 (Map is 2 pages) *note: Sometimes I find that I have to refresh the page, once or twice, before all of the icons and route markers show correctly. Of course this tour can be started and/or ended along any point in the route. (for those who might be joining in, from different stating points) This year's show was one of the biggest reasons that I had hoped BBC would have been back online by now. It would be nice to have had more time to work out the details of the event. .

I just spoke again with Mr.Dave Peters, organizer for the Mt.Prospect Cruise Night. He sent me a note checking to see that everything is still on track, as far as our attendance. I let him know that everything appears to be going smoothly. I also mentioned again the different areas that the rest of you are traveling from, and the effort you are putting in to attend. No trophies for that , but at least (and I thought it only fair) the show organizers are aware of the effort, time (and money) that you are dedicating to be there. .

Request sent....
edit:
Request granted. We will have 8 reserved spaces. (including the MPPD '74) The spaces will be closer to the entrance, and the band, then where we staged last time.

Im not gonna do the tour with everyone sunday (if you guys do it). 5 hours running around, idleing in traffic, and stops is just to much work on the old girl. Shes already gotta do a 4 hour hike to get there. I am gonna be out friday during the day doing some locations though. Anyone gonna be out and about?
Good deal on the Mt. prospect show! Will be great to go back to the blues bar!!

Sorry TK,
I'd like to do the tour you planned on Sunday, but first my lodge is having a car wash fund raiser at Harlem and Addison (no where near 1060 W Addison....) then I found out that a friend needs some help moving that day, so I gotta get in the truck and help out. SO I'm sure I'm out for whatevr happens, sorry.
Maybe real early for a breakfast or something, depneds on time.

And thanks TI! I just got more motivated to show more of what I had, building up to the moment I guess.

None of it is "official". I just plotted out a course and threw it out there.
Like Country mentioned, running the course, from start to finish, will take a while and is a bit risky. Much of it is in the center of the third largest city, and a breakdown would be a real pain.
I just thought if anyone wanted to take the opportunity to run the course, there it is... laid out.
The good part is that on Sunday early mornings, for quite a few hours, downtown is virtually a ghost town. And, the traffic in the afternoon is the lightest it will ever be during the week. If you plan on visiting more than just a couple/few filming locations, that is the time to do it.
But, I'm up for anything. If the decision is to hit only a few places, (or take a pass entirely), I'm cool with anything.
