While doing a car search on craigslist I stumbled upon these diecast ... chicago.craigslist.org/wcl/clt/2636862030.html- What I've found out about these cars is that "Hot Pursuit" went out of business in 1997. They were purchased by "Dimension 4" which went out of business in 1999. That info was gleaned from this excellent diecast manufacturer resource ... www.toynutz.com/mfrs1.htmlIt would also appear that the 1978 model is actually a Fury and not a Monaco. No biggie but other examples of the '78 are all listed as a Fury. Such as ... New York State Police Iowa State Patrol - And an example of the '68 Fury as NYPD - So with the Illinois State Police being 1:43 it would also be a nice companion to the 1:43 Corgi Bluesmobile. Not to mention the rare factor. I couldn't find any of these "Hot Pursuit" cars on eBay at the moment.

- A nice collectible 1978 Dodge Monaco 1:43 Illinois State Police from Hot Pursuit. I suppose they're out there cheaper but as far as I know these are rare cars now, Buy It Now is $28.00 in Illinois. This series was known as "The BOYS" and included both the Fury and Monaco B-bodies for 1978. The custom ones pictured in posts above might have maybe started life as the "#78000 WHITE ONLY" cars.
