SOLD - 1971 Polara Chicago police (Illinois/Nebraska) clone

- Buy It Now is $14,000 for this civilian clone Polara. Very nice car. I don't think it's Greg Reynolds car, if I'm not mistaken his clone is a 1972 Polara. This one is in Elgin, Illinois and has probably been seen at more than one CEVS.

Working Federal P280 Pulsator Siren and even replica 1971 Illinois municipal plates with the same number. This is not a police package car, however the package instrumentation, new interior and rubber floor have been added. The certified speedometer shows 56K miles. I believe the actual mileage is slightly over 60K. This is solid car with no rust anywhere. The chrome is bright and shiny and the glass and interior are in great condition. The 360 V-8 and Torgueflite trans are fine and the A/C blows cold.

- There's been some price adjustments, some re-lists. It did get the starting bid of $9,499 earlier this month but reserve was not met. Here's the most recent auction and the starting bid is $9,499.99

I don't recall reading about the connection to Henry Kissinger. The quote below is true ? Weird story, it's not a police package car. If Kissinger bought it new it would have been when he was United States National Security Advisor in 1971.

Henry Kissinger bought this brand new. He sold it to Chicago Police Department. After they retired it two retired Police officers completely restored it.

We can see in this article from the Mirror UK that a 1971 Dodge Polara that belonged to Henry Kissinger came from an estate auction in 2008. I didn't see any pics of it here ...

So Gretna Auto in Nebraska is implying that the car in this thread is the same car from that estate auction ? Or Henry Kissinger sold a different 1971 Polara to the Chicago Police Department ?
