This might actually be an '88. There's no molding along the base of the C-pillar, which I thought was an '88-only thing.

^ Interesting, and I'm very inclined to agree, Dan-O. I noticed you mentioned that in the thread about the differences in the Crown Vic's ... - bluesmobiles.proboards.com/thread/833/1988-1991-p72-differencesThere's two pics of what should be 1988's in that thread but the 2nd one has the trim. Then again, there's a good possibility it's also a case of "wrong year syndrome" with that car as well and it is indeed a 1989. Actually, it might even be a clone ... ? I am guilty of fake news * I found what was probably my source for the pic, it's listed as an '88 ... - policecararchives.org/ohio/columbiana.html

It's not easy to find a pic of an '89 P72 without that molding but is the answer right here all along ... There was a "Fleet Delete Package" among other options but I don't think that explains it. Maybe the one for sale here is a P72 but not with the 55A package? - bluesmobiles.proboards.com/thread/1573/1989-crown-victoria-police-brochure
