Can you believe there was an some sort of food wrapped in foil under the intake!!!
The 440 I pulled from the '74 Imperial had some weird foil-backed fiberglass matting between the intake and valley pan. At first I thought it was a mouse nest until I pulled the intake off. I think Chrysler stuffed it in there for noise and/or heat abatement.

I told seller about the under intake wad and he had me go dig it out of the trash as Granpa stashed cash. It was insulation. Loaded race cars all morning and decided to lean burn convert Whip. Would only run with key on and the kit not so clear instructions did not help. FYI we poached the required wiring from the abandoned lean burn firewall plug and grabbed the wrong brown wire for start side of the coil. There is a double brown going into plug, use that one. After step by step solder and "no workie" we just spiced and bada-bing it runs. Will rewire, man this 400 sounds good. Blue-too wet sanded so paint tomorrow etc. TMB

One of my friends is big into the off-road thing. Hes been known to wrap hot pockets in foil and shove them under the intake of a Modular Ford. Apparently a hot dinner is just the ticket after a day of desert racing!

Looks like a Board meeting griping about the Whip getting to be on the rack indoors with AC. Some cars are never satisfied. Phish

Let the "Goat Rope" begin. Someone put a LOT of work in this speaker. Found only one of the loud hailers was hooked up. This thing is LOUD, cant be legal. We are embedding a Fusion marine sound system which will replace the 110v setup. All the good stuff is transferring to the Blue-too Monaco.

The Hemi hood scoop A) looks totally awesome & B) is gonna suck to race with LOL Yes, it blocks a lot of view BUT we have two hoods (heavy) so we can goof off looking like dumb Cajuns in the pits and put on the orange one to race. Do we want positrac or one wheel peel to road race? How about a new trunks mat!!!! Jakeaux

Probably because ancient tow-package axle I picked up was pretty tired. I think it’s a cone-style limited-slip like a GM Auburn, which means it’s a bit overwhelmed by road-course duty. I did appreciate the change in ratio from 2.7x to 3.21s though. It was noticible improvement getting the big girl up to speed.

Good news is found all the things to put Blue-Too over the top as a clone K car. Bad news is donor car ain't no donor as it is a real K code. Sheriff George Teague personal car and one lady civilian owner who recently passed. Bone stock with new parts all over it as family tried to get it running. Just has an air leak in fuel delivery system so loses prime. E85 440-4 with 9.25 posi. and D36 727-b torque flight. Some of the options F35 spotlight (missing), F58 RR reinforce frame, G11 tint glass, H51 AC with heat, N21 air pump, N96 high alt tune (maybe why it runs so bad in Louisiana LOL)Will clean, tune and leave as a running driving survivor. There’s that darn rubber mat I want! Well, lets find a vendor to use it as a pattern as it is in excellent shape. Also, Sheriff Teague must have had his shop added a fuel delivery system if he encountered a constituent out of gas. I have never seen this before. Hard pipe fuel line to front of car where you remove a threaded cap and screw in a hose to deliver fuel to another car. Anyway, we just timed it and tuned carb. Almost perfect but has a leaky steering box and oil sending unit, so this winter fix. Friggin' nice car. Even the ticket light works. and there is some weird lock blockers on rear door locks. Keep prisoners from locking car? ? New to me. Attachments:
