Has anyone removed ac from their Monaco? I'm doing an engine swap and want to remove ac while I'm at it. Can I just bin the pump and that's it? Obviously I'll get new belts so everything else works but someone has hinted that the heater may not work properly after removing ac. I don't use ac now as it's leaked out so what harm is there in removing the pump?

Remove the compressor, drier, lines (at the firewall cap where it goes into the car to prevent contamination) and the condensor and you should be fine. Save the parts just in case you decide to put it back in.

Tbh I only wanted to remove the pump as it doesn't work anyway so I don't see how it would affect anything else?

I can't guarantee anything but I don't see how it could affect the heater.

It wont have any effect whatsoever to the heating side of the system. Hot and cold air is done via a flap in the hvac box linked with a cable to the hot/cold slider on the dash control. You will still get cold air and hot air as needed.
