Hello I recently took over the Blues Bar in Mt Propsect in which there was a Dodge 1974 Monaco with 440, I recently had a new carb and fuel filter put in, got it running drove it through the pass lane and am awaiting title. I have no need for this car. From what i can tell its in good condition. I have 9k into the car with all the work and tile duplication and removal from building. This car is an original CHP car, it was painted by Joe from Sign Palace here in Illinois, he is the guy the painted the original Blues mobile from the Movie and this car we have was the second car he painted to replicate it. Look him up and talk with him. He seems to think its the real deal. But I have no proof nor do I care to search and find out. So before I post this elsewhere I will await your response. Look at this forum for pictures of car. I have turned down offers of 6-7 k because I think the car is worth more than that and I do not want to take a loss and am in no hurry to get rid of it.

^ Thanks, Lenny. Thanks for the updates on the status of the car and giving us a shot here at making you a decent offer. I would imagine you may have already received the offer you were hoping for? If not it will be soon, we certainly have people dropping buy here asking/checking if there's any Bluesmobiles for sale. You should have a serious buyer before the weekend is over.

I bought this car! I paid a lot for it, but it is a 440 K Code ex-CHP car, and supposedly painted by the same guy who painted the original Bluesmobile. It was hard enough finding a true Monaco 74 sedan not a hardtop, and K code cars seem to be as rare as hen's teeth, so I went for it.
After sorting out the car mechanically, I'll have a proper Bluesmobile push bar made, since it looks like it has a modern Crown Vic one on it. Also, I'll probably go with 16" wheels so I can put a bit wider tire on her.
The VIN is DK41U4D197827. Does anybody have any previous history of the car?
Car should arrive in Miami this week. Probably no one here in Miami will even know what a Bluesmobile is.....but should be fun!

Is this sticker real? No overdrive in these cars, right?

Lowered the front end, since it was much higher than the back. Easiest car I've ever lowered, that's for sure! Next up: a new exhaust and having the correct pushbar fabricated. I'll need a good functioning A/C for use in the upcoming Miami summer. It's hot down here! Any tips on what to use when going to R134? Steam I'll get rid of that blasphemous GM sticker ASAP!
