- I can't find a thread for the Blues Bar specifically, it's been mentioned here many times, though. So there's been some problems leading to the closure of the bar and the Blumo on display inside has been removed. I read it was sold but don't know anything more about that.
^ That's a member pic from a few years ago. And here's a recent pic ...
Pic is from a Mount Prospect facebook page and they have a video of the Blumo being lifted out from the building ...

- Couple of pics from the Daily Herald
In the meantime, the Blues Brothers car is now sitting in a towing company lot. "We're not really sure right now who it belongs to," Rago said. "There is no title, so we're not sure what's going to happen to it."
This is a real CHP car. I remember seeing it on eBay.
Too bad the place is closing. I was there in 2009. The next year, for some reason, they didn't participate in the 30th anniversary celebration of the movie, and the window was covered so the car couldn't be seen from outside. (?)
"Sir, how much would something like that full-size Ford police package in the middle there run me?"
Someone call Ernies Wrecker Service or the Ragos and make a real offer. I'm sure they are being pestered to death with $500-$1000 offers. Throw $4k down and I bet you buy it.
I read this thread and was wondering "How did he know which towing service had the car?" I was looking so closely at the Monaco trying to see clues of what it actually is I totally missed the HUGE print on the boom until the second time I went back to this thread.
