Can someone please tell or show me what the back of the speedo should look like on my 77 royal? I think I've got a missing pin or 2 hence some iffy speedo lights when you wiggle the plug! This is the side next to radio. Sent from my SM-G900F using proboards Attachments:

Looks like most of the pins have broken off and stayed in the multiplug. That would defo explain some issues with dash lights!! These older dashes can be very fragile in these areas so go with care from here to prevent further damsge.

It looks to me like about 7 of the pins that are suppose to be attached to the speedo are now torn off and stuck in the socket. I think you could attempt a repair but the speedo head is going to have to come out and you will likely have to do some soldiering. Not impossible but it's going to take some time. It's probably best to remove the speedo head any how do you can check all the builds and the bulb sockets (likely the source of the problem any how).

Ah right so all those holes on back of speedo should be pins? Mmm well I'm not bad with a soldering iron and car isn't on the road for a few weeks yet anyway so wish me luck!
Cheers people.

So any tips or tricks to repairing these pins? I found all the broken pins sitting in the bottom of the dash when I took the speedo out and most stuck in the plugs. I thought maybe find some very small screws and screw the pins tight from behind. Can't really solder them back as there isn't enough to sit in all the holes.
