"It's a real James Bond Movie prop car, restored by Rick's Restoration TV show, but does not drive or work in water!"
There were six Lotus submarine cars built and used in the film, with one of them being a drivable underwater sub (though none were pressurized like a real submarine). There are only three remaining in existence.
The Dezer Collection known as the Miami Auto Museum is moving/moved to Orlando.
We are excited for the opening of the Orlando Auto Museum in Spring of 2019. The Orlando Auto Museum has over 1,000 cars, Vespas, micro-cars, and movie memorabilia for sale. At this time we are currently in the process of organizing our inventory, all of which is for sale and all prices are negotiable.
The Orlando Auto Museum is not open yet but they have an eBay store going for 3 and a half months now.
And posted there now is a Bond Lotus ... although it might be a different one ? The first one in this thread is listed as a '77 and this one now is listed as a '76. The Lotus Esprit S1 was produced 1976-78.
This pristine reproduction captures the look of Wet Nellie and will surely capture the eye of Bond lovers and movie afficianados alike. Over $400,000 has been invested into this Submarine sold by Orlando Auto Museum. Get your Lotus Esprit Submarine for a fraction of the cost of the original one from used in the movie.
