I think this model is what we all strive for when making Bluesmobiles. If anyone here gets a chance to see it up close, take close up pictures of every detail for reference!
There were other miniature models though, I think I remember reading about one that they used specifically so they could copy it when painting the real ones for the movie. So maybe those are the ones we want for reference. Still great since it's an actual set piece done by the same guys who did the real one! Maybe this is the last Bluesmobile...
(this might go in a different forum section but the picture's here)

There were other miniature models though, There may have been as many as 5 Bluesmobile models. The one in the post above is Jim's and should therefore be the same one he showed us in the video of a tour of the According to Jim set ... Jim says it's the one that did the backflip. From this video around the 3:28 mark ... The model from bluesmobile.net (website now defunct) was quite amazing ... Check out some model info here ... bluesmobiles.proboards.com/thread/1081/cob-steve-beshekas-blumo-modelbluesmobiles.proboards.com/thread/1087/cob-jim-belushi-blumo-model----- The Tilted Kilt, I didn't know it was a major franchise operation ... So it sounds like Jim and his partners own the South Fort Myers location. The main part of it being the regular restaurant part with the girls in kilts and what have ya ... And upstairs at the back will be "Belushi's" ... ^ Ha, I wonder if they'll have chicken wire

I think I read that the Bluesmobile.net model was the one they used for paint reference. I found a folder and I have all the pictures saved I think.

- Official opening is tonight. Here's another shot of the model ... I'm not sure what Blues Brothers stage they're referring to. You'll see it in the video at the bottom but it doesn't remind me of Bob's, the Ballroom, or Joilet. Maybe an SNL stage? Here's a couple of interview vids with shots of some of the great pictures on the walls. There was a VIP party last Friday and Jim got 'er goin' on stage. I think it's the first time I've ever seen Jim blowin' the harp. Nice intro reference to Jake. The tune is You're So Fine by Little Walter. And the homepage is now up and running. - www.belushislive.com/
